Change the pick order?

Right now, the current pick system is blue team gets 1st pick, the red gets 2, the blue gets 2, then red gets 2, then blue gets their final 2 and red gets their last pick. the set up of 2 at a time allows for a lot less counter picking and strategy. Also, it give the 2 teams vastly different drafting situations. In a game about competitive play and fairness on the systematic level (putting it all on skill), you would think that the drafting system would try to make it as equal for both teams as possible by making it alternate truly rather than the 2 at a time system we currently have

Blue team gets first pick, then red team has to pick twice, allowing for a counter pick at those 2 positions. Blue team has it easier depending on which slot the mid/jungler has. Say for example, we have a mid laner in 2nd slot on blue team; since blue team gets first pick, red team gets 2 picks then the 2nd player has an easy counter. It's a neat little system, very fun to look at and say to yourself, 'This is cool how they planned it.'

dont get me wrong, it is extremely different in strategy and its interesting, i just dont think it works out as being as fair as it could be
