What is maximum life steal % in LOL ?

there isnt. but you know there is a max because max items and everything

W gives 22%, BT gives 20%, Botrk gives 12%, Deaths Dance gives 15% (also gives lifesteal for other stuff too), Scimitar gives 10%, Ravenous Hydra gives 12%, Maw's lifeline gives 10%, elixir of wrath gives 15% (also gives lifesteal for other stuff too)

Also Legend Bloodline gives 12%

You can stack lifesteal but you kinda do end up seeing some diminishing returns, especially if people build Bramble Vest, Executioner's Culling, or Morellonomicon against you.

In Short you can add bloodthirster to BotRK. However, there are complications with stacking some lifesteal items.

I have been reading around a bit trying to find an answer to the max lifesteal and nobody seems to know. As far as I can tell there is no max.

Some items have lifesteal as 'unique'. The larger number gives a bonus, the smaller 'unique' values will not increase lifesteal. This prevents the stacking of 6 Bloodthirsters. But not the stacking of 6 BotRK.

Two unique 20% lifesteal items wont give 40%, only 20%. A 15% unique lifesteal and a 20% unique lifesteal will still only give a max of 20% As far as I know the only exception to this rule is shield and spell power where all uniques do add up together.

-Bloodthirster is unique, it will stack with other lifesteal items as long as they are not specifically "Unique:lifestealXX%"

-BotRK is not unique as the lifesteal is just a standard part of the item, this will stack with everything.

-Vampiric scepter and blilgewater cutlass are not unique and will stack with everything.

-Deaths dance is a different lifesteal unique (to the bloodthirster) so will stack with other different unique lifesteal items such as bloodthirster and normal lifesteal items like botRK, vampiric scepter.

-Hextech gunblade shares the same unique as Deaths dance.

-Wits end stacks with pretty much every other item ( I think) because even though it looks like a similar unique its labelled differently and is only for low health. However its not really true lifesteal because its just applied to the damage done by wits end.

I read on a forum that while you can stack the BotRK lifesteal, it is not usually worth stacking them it because it has a special activated ability that is factored into the cost and a player would be better using a range of different items.

For example, Master Yi can stack 6 BotRK for epic attack speed and lifesteal but he would be better off with a few different items, ie, 1 BoTRK, deaths dance , bloodthirster and then guardian angel and Dead mans plate .

Most importantly, if you build everything on damage and lifesteal and take no armor its often gg-game over the second you get stunned. If you are melee the same happens if you get rooted or slowed. If a lot of the team take pure lifesteal and some or all your team gets hit by maokais roots or veigars stun then that is a big problem. Even if you stay behind tanks there is always an offchance the enemy team will rush you or someone will hit you from behind.
