Is Shyvana considered as weak champion ?

I try to master Shyvana for AD jungle but she feel so squishy. I tried to duel Talon, we both were with same amount of CS, his combo killed me with no problem, where I probably didn't do even half damage to him. Same feeling with all other encounters. What is Shyvana's current status, is she viable in current meta at all ?

She has no shields, no armor. As dragon, i would say, she doesn't feel any dragonish.

A big part of Shyv's kit is getting resistances from killing dragons, if you build her full ad or full ap or on-hit she is pretty squishy, but that's where her passive comes in, she excels at taking dragons solo and should be doing that whenever she possibly can.

It gives her alot of resistances and if you manage to kill a fair few dragons per game as shyv and possibly build a few more bruiser-ish tanky items youll see that you can survive alot more.

Try co-ordinating with your teammates too since Shyv's ult can have a big impact with follow up from teammates!!

She's a really fun champ and I think it's cool you're trying to learn her, keep it up, once you play her more and more and learn her intricacies she'll be alot more fun!

Full AD is not recommended. Either go item 1419 > item 3022 > situational tank/bruiser or item 1402 > item 3115 > item 3165 > item 3089. Both builds work well, and the first actually makes very good use of the reworked Wit’s End.

She was strong, kit easy to understand, was able to top or jungle on her prime days.

Those days are gone.

She needs a VGU and Riot has confirmed she is on the tier 1 list of champions that need a VGU. So she really shouldn't be that good since her gameplay is really one dimensional. Others on the list include, Volinear. Mundo, Udyr, and Fiddlesticks.

I wouldn't say weak but she is definitely dated

I think shyvana is pretty viable. I think the main draw of Shyvana is she has pretty decent objective control. She's pretty good at soloing rift and dragon if you see the enemy jungler ganking a lane or something, and for dragons she gets to start building up her passive ability to get a bit tanky. She has some build flexibility, in that she's even played more with AP/AS than AD/AS right now which is pretty crazy and kind of cool. Also, because she gets SO good at farming with her W and item 1416.

Also, if you can actually get to a squishy with your ult active, you can absolutely destroy them.

The main thing about Shyvana is if she can't do that, she's pretty weak and becomes a liability. But if you farm really hard and control objectives, she's very effective.

Shyvanna works more as a farming jungler, powerfarming like a mad lizard and busting drakes quickly (and earning free resistances in the process). Of course, farming is no longer viable since gankers (who counter farmer strats) are now prevalent. Most people seem to be building AP shyv though; it's strange but it worked...partly because few no how to counter properly.

She doesn't scare me as much as a 10 min urgot, but I maintain a healthy respect for her.

to be honest, ap shyvana is probably the better way to play her at the current moment

She's not meant to be a full on tank so she has to buy items to do tanky stuff. Her biggest problem is she's a power farming jungler when riot hates that kind of jungler, but they deleted her ability to duel or invade awhile ago leaving her with nothing buy get big ASAP or lose.

Basically her current state (AP mage) exists because riot balances around contrary and opposing demands.

Shyvana is a level 6 power farming jungler. Too many people play her like they'd play Xin or Kayn. I find she works best if you farm till 6 and item 1416. After that she is the most powerful champion on the map, able to duel even the likes of Xin and Trundle. Try to avoid fighting before she hits these massive spikes.

AD shyvana just doesnt work anymore bc there is too much dmg in the game when melee goes in, especially a melee like shyvana that doesnt have disengage. AP morg one shots from fog of war, or from 700 units, making it 200 times better

Her early is really weak. But once you get a bit of health, you can start beating everyone's face in with your base damages.

What Shyvana really excells in is her gold genreation. Not just JGL, but also creeps, Turrets and other objectives. She burns through them insanely fast while quickly moving around the map with W. Since she doesn't have to worry about resources in doing so you should pretty much always find your selfe at the top of Gold-Charts.

How you're building her honestly doesn't matter that much. AD Bruiser(SoS), On-Hit Tank(Titanic), Hybrid-Tank(Gunblade), AP-Carry(Nash/Runic) and probably more - as long you're playing the gold-game you should pretty much always come out ahead.

With JGL farming being not really viable these days I don't consider her an actual JGL. Her ganks and early game pressure sucks and you're simply not rewarded for farming. Mid/Top suit her MUCH better depending on buildpaths.

I tend to see Shyv build full AP these days, which has some respectable burst. I would give that a try.
