The patch notes keep saying Brand can jungle now, so what about Xerath?

He has more CC and range, while Brand relies on pure damage and combos, but in a lane like mid where extra damage is a bit redundant (idk, Veigar, Malzahar, etc?), wouldn't Xerath be the better jungler?

They both have the same movement speed.

Brand has a combo reliant stun, at a lower cooldown but Xerath has a versatile stun with a faster speed. Same ranges.

Xerath has more damage against camps because he has an AoE Q and W while Brand relies on using his Q, then spreading E conflagration to all the camps, before finishing with W to deal similar damage.

And what about Lux and Vel'koz, these guys seem even better for the job.

EDIT: god, when will the boards be updated to follow a few more of reddit's rules, like "downvoting is for non constructive discussions, not something you simply disagree on and want no one else to see because it might end up damaging your ego"

I dismiss people who don't bother giving an answer worth giving, I encourage people who give an answer worth giving, it's as simple as that.

I've heard more useful answers from animals, like "nevermore"

Now I like Xerath and all, but I don't see him jungling any time soon. His cool downs are just to long and he does not have the passive %hp burn that brand has. Because of this while it is possible he can blow the chickens to smithereens he seems unlikely to be able to take down a buff camp by himself.

Also having even more range is not really a benefit to a jungler because if the monsters take to long running to you they will just leash and heal up, kiting them is done relatively close and most any ranged champion has all the range they need.

Getting Karthus back in the jungle would be pretty cool though, I wonder how viable he is right now.
