Nunu needs a rework
He does awful late game and is one of the oldest champs in league (reworked champs don't count).

You're probably playing him wrong.
Try support botlane with smite... They said it works.
How does Nunu "fall off"? He's a tank. He only gets tankier with his base stats increasing. A 6 item Nunu is impossible to burst down and nearly impossible for one champ to sustain damage kill (except Yi, but that's just a hard counter)
I don't think Nunu's in a terrible spot, I used to play him a lot before and I think it heavily relies on how the game goes or how you play him, you kind of have to jungle and can't do much else, you can play Nunu Top and try to get cheeky kills by ulting in the bush and then insta-killing them when they facecheck you, but other than that, you have to play him jungle.
I've had a good amount of good Nunu jungle games and it's not that hard to play him, you have two smites, you can take dragon, invade, slow, it's all a really good kit for counter-jungling and getting ahead in your jungle.
Late game Like multiple champions he does fall off late game, but it's all about how you play him as well, the best thing I find is how he works in team fights, I think while using W to speed up to throw a snowball and deal AP damage to the ADC and chunk a good bit of health is good, and if you take damage, you're an AP Tank, just Q a minion and heal up most of the damage. While, you should also use your ult to your best possible ability, such as running up with W, snowballing the ADC, and flash ulting into a good area to ult and try to change a team fight drastically.
Nunu's ult can change team fights easily, simply because it tells everyone to SCATTER or die, wasting much-needed summoners such as flash and changing the team fight by scattering the team.
I think Nunu shouldn't get a rework, I think he should get a visual update, his play rate is low and all, but I think he's in a good spot, and I can't see him being much different, but I wouldn't be surprised if Riot could think of something to spice it up like they did with Galio.
Offer
If you'd like I offer the service of Mentorship, I have a discord and community I'm trying to grow by being a Mentor to players, mainly to new and returning veterans but I've played this game since mid-season 1 and I've gotten to Diamond more than once, but nothing higher. Just go to my latest posts if you're interested, I have a post all about it.
They are aware Nunu needs a rework. He's in the top 5 of their list of projected VGU work, after the projects this year are finished. I believe the other top contenders were Mordekaiser, Irelia, Cho'Gath, and Pantheon.
Have you seen the PBE changes to Visionary yet? They're pretty promising in helping his early game in the Jungle and Top Lane. Because it can buff his spells up to rank 6, it helps him not fall off so hard in the late game.
Of course he needs a full VGU, but this is like a nice, small band-aid with pretty flowers pictures until he gets his. A better band-aid would be to re-balance his kit a bit more, but flowers look nice and it's better than no band-aid.
Nunu is not that bad atm. Really! There is a reason why he is a low IP champ - often regarded as well suited for beginning players. (Check out Dong Huap's latest video on Nunu and you will see that he is perfect for low ELO players.)
He is still the benchmark for the health of junglers - because he is so solid. To quote one masters player, you know when the jungle "lane" is bad shape if you start seeing the junglers start trotting out the Yeti more frequently. He is a simple champion with very middle of the pack stats. His clear is good. And it really is hard to complain about the skills.
His Q is like a mini-smite like Trundle's.
His W movement speed boost is pretty good - but (of you got me to admit it) could stand tweaking (because it was created when he was an inlane support - and it no longer is as effective as say Zilean's).
The snowball can be a tough weapon. AP Nunu can chunk out huge amounts of health. I like it.
The R is terrific - and works awesome with Stoneborn. (Have your teammates poke at the enemy champs as they try to escape its radius.) Yes, it was like another ult - the ult of the champion formerly known as Galio. (Sniff, sniff! RIP, dear friend; death to the imposter!). But now it is unique to him.
Yes, he is an old champ. And call me sentimental for liking the cartoony looking champions. But please Riot, if anyone listens to these demands for reworked champions, treat this champ with care.
Pfft I'm praying he gets a rework so I stop getting reported non stop, Reason:Intentional feeding. Real reason.... NuNU literately get shait on late game so hard.
The problem with Nunu is that imo, Ivern does a much better job.
A lower scale VGU would do great on him. He's supposed to be a yeti rider (cool concept) but all I see is a little twerp riding a fat monkey and throwing cancerous snowballs. I think he has a lot of untapped potential.
The upcoming patch does jack shizz. It's absolutely worthless. They should simply rework him so that having his bloodboil up will add aditional effects, such as, being able to munch on a champion for lowered magic damage instead of pure damage. Or something like this, make his different abilities interact.
Nunu is complete shite in that his kit has the tools for him to catch up to an enemy and slap them with higher movement speed. But that's it. His munch is worthless vs other champions and his R is interrupted by any form of CC that isn't just a slow. The only thing he was good at, was counter-jungling. But they fucked that up as well by reworking the jungle camps.
Nunu just doesn't have much in his kit to compare with most champs. You're looking for good slow power? Ekko's Q does that better. Rylais does nunu's job better than nunu. Counter jungling and objective cntrol is really his only benefit and Ivern does that so much better.
He needs a new niche.
