Whats the point of Zed + Duskblade??? #BringBackDFG

I want to see your opinions about this topic

DFG was deleted cuz it was killing tanks easily (lets face it item was brokn), but whats this item then. Most of the times I outplay the zed and the ult pops I survive, me be like "Im a God" then this happens .

I dont rly see what was the whole point of this item. Most of the champs are abusing it now. Its not fair if I outplay someone during laning phase or lata... to get killed by him just because he has an op item or is op in general.

I could talk whole day about some of the topics but I want to hear what others think.. and I would also like to see some rioters comments on

to make myself clear.. zed is a fun champ but this item is broken on him jarvan also deals to much dmg

I mean, if you actually look at the item it's not anywhere remotely close to DFG. Nightfall, as an on-hit effect, is actually extremely underwhelming. It's a 2 minute cooldown for a 90+25% missing health proc after 2 seconds, with no additional scaling and no method to decrease its cooldown after it deals its damage. With any other given damaging on-hit effect in the game you can easily deal more damage than Nightfall over the course of its cooldown, and for more on-demand reward a Guinsoo's will do similar damage within the same amount of time if you account for the bonus stats it gives in addition to the on-hit damage. The item itself isn't even gold efficient in stats, albeit it only falls short by a pocket change amount.

DFG caused you to be able to kill targets your Champion had no business even being able to threaten, this just lets you kill targets that should've escaped a fight by the skin of their teeth.

Honestly, I'd never buy this over Ghostblade. It's just not worth it.

Its a shit item btw. Stats are way too low for its price and zed shouldnt even buy it if it ever gets viable on other champions. As zed you dont want to buy a passive on an item that anyway has a waay to high cooldown and can be easyly shut down by zhonyas or qss ( like his ult). Overhyped by low elo players. Youmous has roughly 160% goldvalue with its active in comparison and the new assasin item 99%. People, how do you even get the idea that the item is slightly viable, its awful in every aspect, build path, stats and unrealiable passive? I really dont get it, its so obvious that this item is garbage right now. Meddler said in other thread that they are considering creating an item that would temporarily increase damage dealt by mages, but it wouldn't be DFG but rather something conditional like Duskblade.

Duskblade is kind of not a good item....

only good if you are way ahead, it is not even close to broken on Zed

if i have 1250 hp... outplay zed ...his ult pops im left with 250hp.. so im missing 1000 thats 250+90... where is the logic there?

skill over op shit.. like giving him 2 ults early game

another situation is if he kills you early game with jungler... ofc he is a bit stronger but if u outplay his combo after ult, you can still win the 1v1 but with item he takes you again so low that you have to go back again or stay and die like a pleb.. by the time you come back to mid his cd is half way down and he is 2 lvls above you most of people think you have to kill the enemy laner as zed or any other.. nope you get ahead by kicking him out of lane and that item helps a ton

feelsbadman... even there you can see popularity of the item on zed and ppl here saying its bad.. I played vayne vs jarvan ad with that item... i tilted so much there was no thing i could do he just ults basic and im dead ..doesnt even need the combo

Duskblade is nothing compared to DFG

Duskblade you can waste it's passive and it doesn't even do much unless the enemy has 10% hp left in which they would have died anyways to a single AA

DFG Had non-qss/hourglass-able damage done then additionally increased spell damage by 20% on ANY target YOU chose, not to mention because you could choose a target you couldn't waste it.

Duskblade is fine on it's users, all zed needs is his passive nerfed so it doesn't affect winions but duskblade itself is a fine item.

The point of the item was to help assassins since they were gutted with the lw removal (Which was a good move since LW basically countered tanks and squishies) and it isn't even being abused. Easy to counterplay by getting rid of it and it's delay allows shielding/defensive skills/item usage.

Again the item isn't broken but what needs nerfing is zed's passive working on winions because of it he doesn't have to make a choice between using abilities on winions or trying to use abilities on you.
