I think riot disappointed me with this rework. The ult is basically a worse version of his e, but his q is nice. I really wished for a better ult, but hey, I have only played 1 game, and it might just be me.

As a diamond level Zac OTP, this rework has killed my love for the champion. The new ultimate was worse in about 95% of the cases I used it in, and the loss of ~60% of the ultimates damage and the extra blobs and mobility it gave is not even remotely made up for with the shiny gimmick they gave it. The vast majority of the time I used it, I said afterwards "if only I had the old ultimate, I would have gotten kills/not died".

I love his new ult. New Zac is definitely a champ that requires more thought than previous Zac.

as another zac one trick (if a bad gold player can be a one trick...) his ult is garbage now.. why would we want a slow, unreliable, 1 bounce ult that lets us pick up the enemy team and dump them on our carries instead of a 4 bounce, super disruptive knock up ult?

Only thing I can think of is something like a jungle fight where you ult on your team and carry enemy melee over a wall leaving the squishy guys behind for your team to take care of.

Its a trap design. You wanna hit everyone for the sake of that cool amazing "look what I did!" play, but what you really need to do is hit just the single squishy guy or just the adc and immobile mage. Thats kinda lame really. What they should have done is kept old ult but have you goo trap the first target hit. Then you displace everyone in your way between your own team. This would also let you do thongs like goo trap a fed melee carry or assasin in your team and carry them away from the team.
