That's not counterplay, it's making a massive gap in Tryndamere's kit. Besides, I haven't had a problem with Tryndameres, especially in top lane where I can just pick Renekton into them and win. It's far too easy.

It's not making a gap, it's adding depth. There's no counterplay to Windamere beyond "end fast".

I've had the best luck against him with Nasus. Renekton is a bit better for helping the team and then running top to stop the Tryndamere, but with Nasus it becomes an all out split push war.

That's really what it boils down to because Nasus can actually take on Tryndamere and win with Wither, the enormous HP pool, Life Steal, and Siphoning Strike damage. But they both split push with equal amounts of terror, and both herald an end-game that is never fun to struggle against.

I recently had a game where opponents picked fizz in to my teammates trynd. He invaded red with rest of team for a 5v2 double kill (or adc and support really just failed) then double ganked with the jungler on our junk bot Lane a couple more times. By the 10 min mark fizz was 7-0, lucien like 4-0, their jungler had some assists... I'm in mid Lane 1-0 despite having no gank support (our jungler was just farming) and being ganked about 3 times, then our bot lane support rage quits and they group up 5 in the middle and basically destroy. trynd never took top turret (maybe he just sucked), anyways we won a teamfight 4-1 at around 19:30 but surrendered anyways since it was 4v5 and normals and they were really fed (not sure if that just goes to say how strong trynd can be, but I think it was just them being cocky and diving the nexus turrets).

anyways long post but point is against these pushing champs maybe you're better off leaving Lane to go snowball another Lane. Give him 1 turret, if he pushes for more he's really susceptible to a gank with 2 or 3 people that is basically a free kill even if he has his ult.

I hate that phrase. "Windamere"... It's such an obnoxious exaggeration like "Lucfreewin" or "Master Freelo". Tryndamere has weaknesses which you seem to have absolutely no ability to identify. I've thrashed him with Top lane Gragas's burst combo, ripped him apart under his turret as Renekton, and even managed to skewer him with Azir. The trick to beating Tryndamere is not relying on an early game DPS champ, but instead deal burst damage giving him hardly any time to activate his ultimate. You simply want Tryndamere nerfed because you're far too lazy to actually learn a champ that keeps him in check because there are plenty of top lanes that can do that.
