I fail to see how it's trolling if there's not actually any target/victim. The meta-challenging missions have actually been some of my favourite - it's fun figuring out how to win, again. The first week of runes was likewise enjoyable - it was nice playing a game and deciding "nope, that was a shit idea". They require a premade-5 so that everyone on the team has to agree to complete the mission - i.e. removes any possible abuse.

The only issues with previous implementations of premade missions is

Lack of public chat room to build teams in.
Rewards requiring the completion of all missions to earn enough currency.

But Riot's already addressed the second point and said they're working on the first. Since the Star Guardian event, there's never really been a need to earn all possible currency. Star Guardian literally had 2 rewards and one of them was junk - so you didn't have to do everything, you could do half. And all others since have have superfluous currency too. If you don't have friends or don't enjoy getting creative - just don't do the mission.

5 man premade missions shouldnt go away they just have different end prizes for 5 man and solo and not let them cross paths. that way they can promote their play with friends and have them join policy but dont have the big big prize locked behind it away from solo que players

There are so many different Icons you can use, you don't have to use the cool Hunters Icon but you can if you want to.

I bought it too and want to show it off, but I appreciate the PROJECT Icons too and am fine with showing them off too. I'll just wear the Gemstone Knight icon afterwards. :)

It's actually 48 tokens per orb (otherwise you would not be able to get 2 of them), and they are not guaranteed project skins, you just get a random skin.

Not that guaranteed project skins would change anything for me, I don't like any of them. XD

Guys it doesn't necessarily have to be the new project icon, you can equip ANY other icon from the previous project events like project ashe, kat, ekko, yi, lucian etc.. and It'll still count.

It is still forcing people to use a project icon. I want to be able to chose any icon whenever I feel like it and still do the missions (like pretty much everyone wants to do).

Even outside of those I got the Zed one from a random chest like a year ago. There are A LOT of different icons running around and like 30 are eligible for this event unlike the Star Guardian one where only a select few and not that many from previous years.
