She gets (on average) a beefier front line to protect her. It's actually quite interesting to see how much of a change a single item (Cinderhulk) can make to League's Meta.

I like the disease analogy. Honestly I'm not complaining about Vayne, just pointing out that her rise to fame is due to Cinderhulk. If we want to lower her power, maybe weakening that item would be a better idea.
