Very stagnant gameplay. Zero skill at all. Drop turrets, run in circles while people try to kill you, zonyas, they all die. I see very little counter play available against him and I'm really glad people don't play him very much because he's a little too ridiculous. What other mid laner can solo dragon at lvl 5? He one shot me for 1500 dmg in .45 seconds last game while defending the nexus while my entire team hid behind towers unable to do anything and its moments like that when I ask myself "why do I even play this game". This isn't the first time I've run into problems with this champion. Last season it was even worse when he could solo baron at lvl 14-16 with the elder lizard jungle item+liandrys. I'm sure I'll be flamed by Heimer players but cmon... zero counter play, zero skill, run in circles and zonyas and win. It's just dumb.

no Heim is fine where he is he requires skill and tons of positioning. In fact I just play Kat a game ago against a Heim. a counter to kat and I must say was really hard to get anything off. But I farmed fine keeping track of where the turrents where and staying behind and away from minions dodging lazers like anyone should and farm ( our farm was evened out) and then when I hit level 6 I bought a hex drinker and went all in when he missed his e and killed him. it just depends on how you play against him it may be hard you may lose lane but as long as you don't get killed by him you don't lose the game.

I'm sorry man, but this is about on par with "Nerf Teemo/Blitz" threads.

Heimerdinger can push a lane, sure. And if you try to engage on him in the middle of all his turrets, yeah, you're not going to come out too well. But he has almost no roaming potential, no mobility/escape, and not much of a presence in team-fights or late game, because he relies on his turrets so much for damage.

"I'm not imaginative enough to handle this champion" does not equate to "Better nerf."

Heimerdinger is stupidly strong in some cases but he sacrifices a lot for it.

Zero mobility
Heimer cannot really go anywhere in the early (or even the late) stages of the game because without turrets, he gets taken out like the trash
It takes a lot of time for him to set up for a skirmish or a teamfight, moving around on the map and making picks kicks heimer in the balls

Only thing I would change is for his turrets to die or go inactive when he dies.

I would suggest actually trying to play him. I think I've played Heimer about twice but if you really think there is no skill to his playstyle then you know nothing about him. You cannot just win a team fight by "throwing down turrets and running around". You run to the exact perfect positions, you place your turrets in the exact ideal places and you Zhonya only when the person has brought themselves completely into your trap. There is a huge amount of judgments to be made there and I would argue the skilless person is the one who runs into him without respecting his strength.

You need to stop giving Heimer what he wants. People like you have plans against Heimer that are pretty much equivalent to standing still while Katarina channels her ultimate and the problem is your complete unwillingness to believe there could be a better way of playing than your current strategy.

You mean he placed three turrets (3 buttons there), you ran into their range, then he maybe used E and then R+W for max damage? So, really he 6-shot you. And that's what you get for running into range. The only ability heimer has that can't be easily dodged is the W. And that's assuming the player aims it *perfectly *and nothing gets in the way (structures, minions, etc).

Sounds like you thought you could just run through his turrets and AA him to death. Heimer would be completely useless if that were the case considering he has 0 escapes and isn't very mobile with his burst. This is like trying to beat annie by AAing tibbers. You're going to die.

Heimer can never be 1st pick, because your opponent will just pick Xerath, Lux, or Zed to counter safely.

He's the type of mage who probably has to take summoner 21 if he doesn't want to get blown up. He's that weak. You can't underestimate how much Heimerdinger has to focus to stay alive while walking around his turrets.

Except he is only really good at defending. People today are obsessed with the idea to just pick an oppressive mage or assassin and all in when you have the chance. Heimer counters just that. If you try to just go at him, you're dead. You simply must take out towers first, slowly but steady, to reduce his power, and when he is weak you can fight.
