How can you even call this game competitive?

I cannot even remember the last time I've had a game where the score is even, where the teams are evenly balanced, no one is bitching, no one is spamming missing pings/afking, none of it. I cannot remember the last time I said "wow, the enemy team really deserved that win". Honestly, fucking pathetic. You call this shit competitive? Roblox is more competitive than this shit. The teams are always INCREDIBLY unbalanced, I get diamonds on one team, and silver's on another, with one team having a 70% win rate to win compared to the 30%. How many active users play this game? Somewhere in the MILLIONS? Why is that even an issue? Why is it so hard to pair Silver's with Silver's? Get your game together RIOT, this shit is just miserable.

It's pretty damn clear to me that there is nothing competitive about this game outside of the pro scene (where the game is played as intended) and in a sense one could claim that even that isn't very competitive compared to true competitive sports.

It's ranking system is a complete joke and far closer related to the ranking system of chess (a 1v1 game/sport) than it is to actuall team sports which are completely based on league standings and not some invisible elo wannabe mumbo jumbo (MMR).

Have you ever seen a baseball game where pro's, big leaguers and juniors mix in a "competitive" match? Me neither and it won't happen because it would be a complete clown fiesta, yet league has a ranking/matchmaking system that does exacly that and Riot has the gauls to call "competitive".

In a respectable sport like soccer or baseball lower league players has to best the best in their leagues for chance to take spots of the worst performing in the league above and progress from there, as it should be, fair, just and direct. No BS, no mumbo-jumbo.

I LoL, lower league and higher league players can come into your ranked matches and completely muck them up. Fanbois will say that this happens to everyone and is thus fair. It's even fair if it happens more to some than others because "chance" or the nicer word they use for it: "variance".

They have no evidene ofc because Riot keeps all stastics, again, does any other respectable sport hide statistics? The whole idea of hiding any statistics is completely laughable. But as Riot/Tencent are THE monopoly of the game, ofc, profit also becomes a factor.

Have you ever heard about any other respected sport where chance is a factor?

Such competitive. [zombie-brand-clap]

Lol. Just LoL. The hint is in the name of the game. E-sports will never be puplicly accepted as real sports, not with these kind of matchmaking/balancing/ranking systems at least.

Nerds, fanbois and right-click warriors can say what they want, they can't change that.

/End rant

I saw a gold player stuck in a ranked game of challengers. Yeah you would think with 100 million people playing league at least once a month, riot could make matches even, but nope. You get crap like 5 silvers vs 1 silver and 4 diamonds.

Honestly, Gold is wonderful ELO. People know just enough to actually be decent at the game, but are still bad enough they can't just roflstomp. Most games are even (Had a game little while ago, went 17 kills ahead of the enemy team, we threw hard, it got even, and 30 minutes later we won)

oh please if hearthstone can be competitive then LoL most certainly can be as well

Most of my ranked games are pretty balanced.

Normals are usually stomps tho

about every ~5th or so game there is a smurf or a clearly higher skill player which just shits on the game for the start as they get fed isntantly and snowball like there is no tommorrow, im S4 so banning lee isent as nessecary as most cant play him efficiently as in higher elo but JESUS FUCK i felt the wrath of diamond lee smurf who shat on every lane he was fucking immortal and it was very obious he smurfed he was just extreamly good, i wasent even mad i was quite baffled but i lost and i feel like it was game over from min 1 because muh silver which is pretty much diamonds smurfs and actual silver players.

the more i play the more i want to quit and return to other games. But i dont want to leave my friend solo queing.

How about you improve your skills before talking shit about any competitive game you play.

Even in the games you win you have more than 5 deaths almost everytime and you're in silver fucking elo.

You are also spamming ranked games so don't even come here with "getting matched vs diamonds" bullshit.

There is enough low elo NA players (bronze-golds) to make sure this never happens in ranked solo queue.

Pretty sure this is just a rage post for people who cant climb, "roblox is more competitive" honestly just go play that game then, it probably suits you better anyways

maybe you should play more than 34 ranked games and not assume you will be diamond

2019 year and this fucking game is 8 of10 izi win or rekt lose. RIOT is scum.

LOSINGISMYPRIDE4/4/2017, 10:57:14 PM1 votes

Well the response is flex queue who actually outter past the rule . You can have ppl of your lvl but mixed with diamond or above for the reason the dont take in count the party member but only the party leader .

The game is balanced around LCS and casual normal/aram players - the soloq nonpro players get whatevers left

A bit of a different perspective, but I was brought up in the competitive Halo scene. Halo is still a team game with objectives and map control being key, but the difference is (and this is why there was an outrage when they introduced customizable loadouts) that all the players start on equal ground - same weapons and same abilities. Since everyone was essentially the same character the competitive skill came from simply being better. There was no stat checking and no counter picking, just skill. That's why, despite my acknowledgement that League takes skill in it's own right, it really isn't a competitive game.

I can

Been saying this for years, between stilted matchmaking & terrible balancing, games are rarely even.
