should i play harder champions in bronze?

hey everyone, i am in bronze 1. i used to only play adc and ive recently decided to mid. my favourite mid is Vladimir . i also like to play TwistedFate and Swain . most low elo players will flame you for picking "noob" champs. im just wondering if i should pick easier champs than vlad in order to make my way to high elo.

what do u guys think? should low elo players only play easy champions? or is it ok to play harder champs? should i keep playing vlad or start play malz and swain more?

You should pick two or three champions and play them a shit ton. One-Trick-Pony is the best way to climb the ladder and playing your "comfort pick" champion will give you more 'mental resources' available for map awareness, objective control, etc.

Plus you're less likely to tilt and more likely to keep playing and keep practicing when you're playing something you enjoy.

The best way to get better at the game, aside from reading guides, is to play a lot. Picking something you don't like just because it is easy is a quick path to giving up.

pick tf/brand/veigar

basically burst champions because you can get fed easy since its bronze elo.

Pick champs that provide you consistent performance. Easier champs usually give that to you. They're upset and lash out saying 'Noob champ!' but who cares?

Play what you enjoy. I believe that more often not the thing that holds a low elo player back is not the difficulty of his chosen champion, but core gameplay skills and decision making not related to the champion (like CS, warding and not overextending, prioritizing objectives).

Harder (skill-based) champions are generally balanced around people who are extremely good on them and use them close to their full potential.

If you aren't using them appropriately, you will get far worse results than if you used a simpler champion in most situations.

Karma mid. Shields are stupid proof.

Go for easy champs for now and focus more on cs.

pick the easiest of the easiest...of course, only play champions you are good at though. Don't play an "easy" champion that you don't have experience with

Pick something that's one dimension and has CC. Alternatively you can take something that snowballs and if you are better than bronze you can snowball and win every lane

Just pick whatever you personally enjoy playing. Fuck the meta, this is a game. If what you enjoy happens to be meta, so be it that isn't a problem. Just don't go out of your way to conform to some set expectation for climbing. Find what you enjoy and play that. Your experience will be much more enjoyable and lasting that way.

Vlad and Swain are great man. Malz is really good too but it is hard to carry with him sometimes because it takes a while for him to ramp up. You have to rely on your team to not lose their turrets for the first 15 minutes.

The problem with teammates losing turrets for the first 15 minutes in low elo is that the enemy team will immediately collapse in the mid lane. The 2v1 or 3v1's will make your, "ramp up" period take even longer.

isnt vlad late game? and swain's early isnt that great...

Yes Vlad is late but he can survive early game easily. I recommend playing Vlad mid though so when you troll pool away from a gank, the turret is always much closer.

Swain's early game is very good. If you struggle as Swain early then I don't know what to tell you. Are you trying to play him as if you are an assassin or something? He is a late game bloomer like most other easy to play control mages (Vlad and Malz). However, his early Q damage and utility is a godsend vs low elo. He can also dive turrets for kills at level 6 with nothing but a catalyst.

Since when Vlad is hard? And Yes you should play hard champions in my opinion or at least average and above so You will learn more and be better with those easier ones. Also mostly easy champions are becoming boring quite fast.

play champs that bronze don't know how to play vs... like AurelionSol Blitzcrank Cassiopeia Ekko Evelynn Illaoi Fizz Kennen Leblanc Malphite Nasus Pantheon Renekton Rengar Riven Shaco TahmKench Singed Teemo Thresh Zed Zyra Viktor

Catastrop1 votes

Depends on the champion. Like if you put time into someone like Ekko/Yasuo, nine times out of ten you'll be against people who simply don't know how to play against you.

Difficulty of a champion has nothing to do with climbing. Pick a champion that you both enjoy playing and can win with and learn it inside and out. Don't let anyone tell you YOUR champion is a 'noob' champ, just master it and expand your pool when you're ready to cover different teams needs.
