Soraka didn't get compensation
for her damage nerf in 6.5. Yes I know, Soraka doesn't need damage because her heals and utility etc. But the damage nerf was really took away a lot of her very good poke. The cooldown did get reduced at early ranks but does not get lower than later ranks. She did however get a mana cost decrease and get the Rejuvenation buff whenever she hit her Q which heals her and gives movement speed for utility compensation, but the movement speed "buff" seems very nonexistent and does hardly no damage late game. I know it made her better as a support but as League players like to feel powerful, they like to feel like they make a difference. Healing does in fact make a difference but some players do not like the feeling doing literally no damage, one of the reasons not many people play support. Compared to other mage supports, such as Karma, Lulu and Nami, Soraka does literally no damage late game. If you don't know what the change was, her Q had a little sweetspot in the middle of it that increased the Q damage by 150% and a higher mana cost but got removed.
Pre 6.5
Damage - 230 magic damage or 345 magic damage if hit in the center
AP scaling - 35% or 52.5% if hit in the center
Mana cost - 70/75/80/85/90
Cooldown - 7/6.5/6/5.5/5
6.5
Damage - 230 magic damage (she loses 115 magic damage!)
AP scaling - 35% (loses 17.5% AP scaling)
Mana cost - 40
Cooldown - 5
Rejuvenation buff added but it's weaker on herself than the passive before 6.5 on Astral Infusion
People would say this is worth losing her damage, and it actually was in 6.5. But in patches after 6.5 they just increased the mana cost and reduced her utility. Usually when stuff like this happens, they would at LEAST increase the base damage to 270 magic damage and the AP scaling to 45% but sadly didn't, which disappointed me. What do you guys think?
