Jarvan, King of the Jungle

Making a simple thread to call attention to the fact Jarvan is a bit overbearing in the current jungle scene. He is quite a popular pick in high elo now... I'd rate Jarvan as the best jungler right now next to Rek'Sai

Instead of crying for nerfs to the j-man I just wanted to lay out two reasons as to why Jarvan benefits so much by the current jungle environment... While always a good pick since his buffs last season a few things make him come out ahead now:

• Jungle exp seems lower than before. Quite frequently I see most solo lanes 2 levels ahead of the junglers mid game around 9-11. Jarvan's always been the kind of champ that is quite useful when starved a little.

• The chilling smite is perhaps too powerful, or the alternatives are not good enough. Chilling smite makes it extremely difficult for Jarvan to mess up his combo...

What I'm trying to say is I think the above 2 should be fixed the health and balance of the jungle...

• Bonus point... jungle routes are more varied... the temptation for level 2 ganks is stronger and Jarvan is ideal for this.

Shouldn't Xin Zhao be just as strong then?

I mean, Chilling Smite also benefits him greatly due to it's stupidly long range, making it really easy to walk up to the enemy without using his E and saving it for whenever they flash or use their escape tool.

He also deals good damage in the early-mid game even if behind in levels.

And finally, level 2 ganks were basically his thing. He and Lee were the best jungler hands down back in the day because of how much damage they could deal and their innate mobility.

I mean, they could clear the jungle with nothing but a Dorans blade and demolish people at lvl 2. Insec used to stack 3 or 4 of them on Lee Sin after his first ganks.

The only thing Broken about J4s ult is that people can get out of it using Abilities which can't even go through walls.

Like, Vayne can literally Tumble out of Cataclysm but she cannot Tumble over the thinest wall. I mean, she could glitch it near the bot purple side bot lane river but it was fixed.

And both Rivens first and second Q aswell as her shield can bypass the Ult, despite not being able to go through any regular wall.

Oh. If you buy Phantom Dancer on Draven and use W you can literally run through the walls since Cataclysm is coded as a giant ammount of minions clumped together.

Xin is pretty good.

But J4 has a better kit. He can escape bad situations without ulting. And when J4 and his team knows someone's flash is down Jarvan is wayyyyy better at ganking or making picks. Another thing Xin does not have is teamwide armor penetration. When Wukong was strong Wu got a massive reduction in this area... now Wu cannot top lane at all versus competent players using meta picks, and even now Wu struggles in the new jungle.
