Dapperino's UX focused Keybinding!
Despite the title I'm not a professional and haven't any real experience in the field of UX. Also note that in my setup I'm using a gaming mouse with two buttons (technically they're just supposed to be "Back/forward" buttons for web browsing but whatever)
This is just a shortlist of my changes; if you'd like to follow my path you can - I'm only posting this so that others can see and perhaps give thought to the one thing in league that hasn't really been updated.
That said, I've made many prototypes and published a few games and getting to the core of the user experience is kind of my thing. So here we go:
QWER rebound to FTYJ - Explanation: More comfortable for fingers to be positioned in this manner; I've also moved my hand further to the right of my keyboard in order to gain access to the Alt key. Thumb is positioned on Alt but can move to press 'M', comma, and Spacebar.
Alt + FTYJ = Level up ability. You don't have to look at anything or move your hand at all to do this. Easy levels.
M = Back. You press this with your index but can press it with your thumb. In learning this I said to myself "You can't ult when backing" (Index to M) to remember.
D = Tab. You can easily press this with your "Q" finger.
Middle mouse button pressed = Primary item slot. This is my go to active item slot.
Extra Mouse button 1 - Summoner 1 Extra Mouse button 2 - Summoner 2
Comma - Item 2 i - Item 3 U - Item 4 G - Item 5 (Could be self cast spell?) H - Item 6 (Could be self cast spell?) K - Trinket slot ; The assumption being that I won't be ulting and using my ward/scanner at the same exact time or even rapidly after one another. The closest this gets to is my Katarina plays involving Ward > Shunpo > "W" > Ult. Which is quite the stretch as far as edge cases go.
Again, not something I'd advocate for everyone or anything. Just posting this because there aren't any other alternative keybinding threads that I've seen which were anything above "I moved QWER up so that I could control the camera with WASD" xD
