There is no excuse for not having a Ping Checker in the homescreen for my lagging teammates

u ask them to check their ping in practice tool, they say it takes too much time or they dont care

they then say its not their fault their internet is bad

so who is to blame?

the 4 other players who have to take a loss for it?

why cant these people get a ping checker?

they know their ping is inconsistent and yet they have to risk it when they queue up rather than it being in the home screen.

what is taking so long?

how hard is it to input your ping in the right side of the homescreen ?

this isnt rocket science nor is it an impossible request.

nothing but good comes out of inputting this design and yet its been delayed and ignored for how long?

sick of these people queuing up with 700 ping and its ur duty to keep ur mouth shut and lose the 4v5 for no reason .

honestly riot there is no excuse for not having mentioned this idea yet.

I mean, it's usually pretty obvious if your internet is shit. Open a freaking webpage ffs. I think the people that do this will still continue to do so but just no longer have an excuse besides "I thought maybe it'd be better once I was in game".

Not to mention, sometimes people do get ping spikes. I've had a time where one game (and one game only out of 20-25 I played that day) I had 150 ping (I normally play at 19). No explanation for it. Next game? Perfectly fine. So, not sure if it'll really help except those that maybe also have a ton of people in their family always using their internet.

People can just type ping 216.52.241.254 -t into the command prompt tbh. It will ping Riot's servers and give you a pretty fair estimate of your in-game ping (a +/-5 ms difference at most).
