At least Jayce doesn't stun you when he jumps in. I've recently had a match vs Jayce as Aurelion Sol and I won it (even if I had to sacrifice a bit of the laning phase). You just need to dodge his poke and you are alright. Pantheon on the other side has only point&click.
Literally all it takes is one gank and you get screwed as Jayce lol. I've played too much Jayce to not know what screws me. Even a melee fighter can wreck you if you misplay by the smallest margin with basically no way back in the game. You have clearly never played Jayce against someone that knows what they are doing. Also, if he's so broken just play him.

bruisers are much easier to play than ranged poke champions or tanks though...
Bruisers are probably the easiest class in the game.
