There's no more hope for Riot

Let's just accept it guys: they're not going to fix their game.

I recommend y'all to put down your wallets and only play to tax the server capacity. I also hear Super Smash is coming in early december. Grabbing a Switch on Black Friday isn't a bad idea.

I dont know why people get their hopes up, its the same every year and we start a new season with fundemental problems going unfixed during the so called preseason

The most recent patch has definitely solved the complaints I had with the game so guess I disagree.

There hasn't been hope for Riot ever since Tencent got their hands in the jar and they hired Ghost Cancer.

yeah this game is officially horrible.

The same people who made Season 8 that bad are still "working" on this game. It's pretty unlikely to expect something any better.

League is just one big preseason now

The entirety of season 8 was a preseason

I expect season 9 to be no different

You can tell from the recent marketing blitz Riot has put on that they are losing customers. If they continue to do things stupidly they will lose more. I refuse to buy any skins until they 1. stop banning individuals for speaking their mind 2. create a no chat feature 3. fix matchmaking ffs fix matchmaking 4. fix op damage

I plan on getting in a lot of smash once it is out. As it stands right now ranked is unplayable because everyone is practicing. I am really hopeful that the new ranked system fixes matchmaking but i am not sure it goes far enough to fix things.

Yikers. You sound like my friend who's a Draven main and every time he dies he blames riot, jams his face into his keyboard, and says, "I can't wait for smash to come out, so much better than this trash game." Please leave our community if you don't like the game lol. No one is asking you to stay. If you think your post about how riot isn't fixing their game is going to change anything, you're wrong. They'll most likely ignore you. Btw these types of posts have been here since the game came out, there has never been a time on the boards where I haven't seen league is going to die! This game is broken! This game used to be so much better before x thing changed! Like please, stop adding onto this cycle lmao. Just leave. Inb4, "I only posted this because I'm SO PASSIONATE ABOUT THE GAME," if you were passionate you could've at least offered actual criticism or personal experiences. You made a short paragraph response about how this game is broken. Plenty of hope for riot, I have it right here. Speak for yourself, not others lmao.

They can't fix it. It would require to redone the whole game almost from the scratch.

Fuck this shit. Every fucking year the same fucking story. Waiting for those LCfucking$ balance changes. All they fucking care about anymore.

I feel the same way. Up until season 7 ended, I loved this game with all my heart. I was completely passionate about it for five years, non-stop. This changed twelve months ago.

Starting season 8, League turned into a oneshot fiesta and a lot of champions lost their identities. Everyone deals a massive amount of damage and strategic teamfights turned into three seconds of button mashing. The calm aspect of the game, the part I loved most, completely vanished. Got seen/hit first? Die. We became a Call of Duty MOBA.

For the first time in my life, almost every game of League felt empty, unsatisfying or frustrating. I kept telling myself: 'be patient, there has always been rough patches.' I kept telling this to myself for twelve months. I thought something similar to the old rune system would finally return, but this pre-season is a joke as well. Everybody still gets blown up immediately.

I can not take another year of frustration. It is sad, but I guess I will turn my back on this game after six years and spend my free time meaningfully again. I really do not get how Riot does not see they could slow down the decline of their game massively by just reverting the rune system and champion base stats. It seems like the Chinese internet café scene is too important.

I just want my favorite game back, but I guess that does not happen.

What really irks me is the fact that they released a patch like this and the skins that are the least popular then went on holidays like? You realize other people have holidays too and they may have wanted to spend it playing your game except you blew it up and yolo'd out???

jocomotion11/22/2018, 6:46:18 PM3 votes

So when you leave, will your name be up for grabs?
