Are there better IP rewards for playing or winning in ranked play, and do the rewards scale by where you are in the ladder? Its a curiosity of mine as if so, I need to prepare myself for ranked by mastering champions that fit the various roles....
Very Hard Engage2 votestheres a scaling chart, but any normal game has the same IP gain per win/loss and a time factor of gameplay time.
only bots has a lesser gained amount based on level. otherwise ranked gives the same amount of IP as normals do.

MarkedOfKane1 votesThe best way to get IP is to not focus on it. I stopped spending it and stayed with my certain champions and rune pages for them. Over this time I am sitting on 22000 IP. Yeah, the gain is slow but don't make your focus on getting IP, focus on getting good.
