Nidalee "missing"

So I know Nidalee isn't exactly the strongest laner and her jungling is top tier but not OP anymore, so this isn't a "nerf Nidalee" post....

However....

Why is it fair that when she pounces on you and uses her swipe YOU CANNOT DODGE IT EVER IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM!? Like last game I was Azir and she pounced me so I flashed over her and ulted her into my tower, thinking "wow I just made a good play!" But nope, even though I flashed over her and she was landing AND swiping in the opposite direction of where I ended up standing as well as a good distance away I still took ALL of the damage from both abilities I had flashed away from, and my ult still went off anyway securing my team the kill, so I know it wasn't just lag and I had died on her impact before my comp caught up, all the abilities I pressed went off just fine, yet she didn't land on me with her pounce and swiped in the opposite direction and still hit me with everything for ~60% of my health.

Wasn't the only time shit like that happened that match, but that was just the most obvious "are you fucking serious!?" moment.

So yeah, why is her inability to ever miss her abilities no matter what her target does still a freakin thing? Riot always talk big about "counterplay," but I think your target never being able to dodge your damage no matter what a pretty abhorrent violation of that counterplay rule.....
