I don't know about a couple of those. I could see Janna, Gragas, and Fiddlesticks working well. Janna and Gragas could just separate the enemy team after the knockup so her team can pick up stragglers. Also, Fiddlesticks typically buys Zhonya's Hourglass anyways so this would let him ult from further away, have Kallista's ultimate place him in the middle of the enemy team, and he could enter stasis to get the full duration.

don't know why you'd object to janna, between the ult's knockup and her ult you have a pretty good engage and split on the enemy team a la gragas ult

I could see a riven kill lane working with her ult, and you don't even mention zyra on here.

a lot of wombo potential on the ult if you have good communication, not to mention the ability to force target switches.

Yes, you split up the enemy team. You also gave them a juicy, squishy Janna right in the middle of their team for them to collapse onto you and use killing you as an opportunity to regroup. And you're losing Janna's peeling capability to do it.

janna is one of the recommended synergy champs on the reveal page though

Riot also had Sona listed as one of the hardest champions for a while. And had Rejuvenation Pendant as one of Vayne's recommended items.

I'm not saying that Riot advice is always bad but it's better to think for yourself. There are WAY better champions then Janna to abuse Kalista's ult and W.

Support fiddles will actually be really good like this. He ults some random location, pick him up and launch him completely unexpectedly. Then they can't get out of his ult and he can cc them as normal.

Problem is, you have to be absolutely perfectly coordinated in order for it to work. All of these things have to happen in order for that to be effective:

  • Fiddlesticks must teleport to a location near enough to Kalista in order to allow her to ult.
  • Kalista must use Fate's Call RIGHT as Fiddlesticks' ult goes off; too soon and Fiddle's ult gets canceled, too late and some of the duration is wasted.
  • Fiddlesticks must realize that he has been picked up by Fate's Call quickly enough to use the dash without wasting ultimate duration.

Now, could all of this happen with an organized team? Definitely. It will for sure never happen in solo queue, though.

Plat and above will do this consistently. Just use chat a bit before trying something lol.

Uh, you seem to be forgetting the thing about her W too. You need some ranged champs in there, man! Morgana and Orianna sure, but what about Nami?

I'm thinking soulbonding, say, a cc jungler (like amumu!), waiting til you're all 6, then counter engaging with an amumu to the face for his ult would be a pretty good strategy.

You'd miss out on the W passive, but you'd also be able to have any support.

For launching cc monsters into the enemy team, those without a gap closer other than flash get a bigger boost from it (like Galio).

A thing you should know about her ult. After she tosses someone, the person she tosses bounces back to their autoattack range. So, toss a SOna, she knocks everyone up, gets bounced back to 550 range, and gets to ult and walk away. She doesn't need a melee support at all.

I actually think Thresh woul dwork really well. Flay backwards to the team then box and you have a nice little combo and set up for a lot of different champs. Also depending on how it works could make ori deathball that much better.

uhhh

janna would be amazing. her ult could split their team in half if she was thrown in like that.

thresh could immediately flay -> hook and maybe ult

blitz could immediately ult for an AOE silence, punch a carry for the knockup, and hook them as they run away

yeah i don't like your tier list much
