As a jungler...

How do you explain nicely to a feeding mid that he/she is a lost cause for ganking? I'm not (as a 0/0/1 jungler, assuming) going to try gank a +3 levels and 1 big item enemy mid laner while I still only have blue smite, one ap book and boots knowing that he's going to be useless for damage as well.

Counterganks at this point would be deadly. To me, it is more strategically sound to try get the other lanes fed and come back as 2 or 3 to gangbang that now cocky mid.

The problem is, every time I try to explain that... they get defensive and start playing the blame game. I'm not even trying to blame anyone, I'll even admit that it might be my fault for not coming earlier. But how do you get them to understand that I'm NOT giving blue buff and I'm NOT coming to gank, but I WILL return when I'm capable of taking on the fed guy?

Never easy, once had to camp top because the enemy voli kept ganking top at level 2-3... I did kill voli once, but with Riven working well with him and yasuo underfed, we lost top lane and I could never farm more than 9 camps... Didn't touch bot jungle camps for 15 minutes because of that...

Sometimes it's hard to explain.

See, it's like a lost cause. He lost the lane anyway from the camps (player skill, bad decisions, maybe a snowball that couldn't be helped, lane counters, etc... whatever). May or may not be his fault, but that's not the point.

The point is, if camping is going to gimp ME without getting any results from the losing laner, I really don't see the point of camping. I might as well try and farm or get 1 or 2 kills elsewhere, come back with some items to actually have a chance to get that fed guy.

I usually write something like "we can't kill him" and if my mid won't accept this I mute him
