Smurf Question

I've never leveled a smurf...but have a question for those who have.

i've been floating around gold for a few seasons now. I think it's been my champion pool that's really held me back - I tend to go for teamfight oriented champions and not more hard carry ones.

Has leveling a smurf helped you pick up new champions/get better? Thanks!

Personally after like 10 accounts. No cause i just use the same champs i always play to powerlevel. But i can play every champ into at least plat level and my mains in master level. You can always pick up a new champ while leveling so yes you can learn new things if you want to invest time.

well at first using newer champs is fun, until you start playing with other smurfs that are your main's rank too. then you fall back to the champs you are comfortable with because you want to win... well that's just me lol.

Yeah it helps, starting in bronze and climbing out can be helpful, even when you play your mains. The lanes will be easier, so you won't have to focus as much on laning, and you can work on map awareness, roaming, csing, etc.

Ive levelled 4 accounts. Main - all play to win ranked 2 - to play on when i go on tilt on main so I dont tank hard in ranked. Also to play w lower ELO friends and other roles 3 - to learn jungle. Frustrated with afk farm junglers 4 - to one trick zed

3 and 4 were to learn from scratch knowing nothing, starting at the base bottom level of noobs then work my way up to ranked rather than to get destroyed and tank 100s of people's games from being a total scrub at those roles and champs. All of these new skills gathered funneled to help my main's progress

Norms doesnt even really cut it for learning new champs and roles since the MMR for my norms has gotten to higher than I'd like when trying new stuff it'll drag others down and I wouldnt learn as much from just playing grey screened
