Yasuo mid (From a Veigar Player)

Hello! :)

I was wondering if I could get any advice on how to deal with Yasuo in mid. General advice is useful but specific advice on how to deal with him as Veigar would be greatly appreciated.

Patterns: I keep noticing that no matter what, I cannot farm my Q ability on minions because as long as Yasuo can simply see me in his vision, he can dash any number of times to get to me and just wipe my health away. The only thing I can do is dodge his windwall which becomes near impossible if he is right in my face.

The absolute best way to learn how to play Yasuo would be to play him yourself to get a feel for his ranges. Unfortunately Yasuo free week was a couple weeks back so you'd have to wait ~2months to do that.
The second best thing to do would be to look up a guide on Yasuo to see where the holes in his kit are (the first 1minute 45 secs of this very old guide is accurate except for the bonus flow on windwall part since that was removed) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Oqt_RxSJWc

The perfect time to strike is when he has no Q stacks yet, his flow is low or you just popped it with an auto and his windwall is on cd.

Try this build:

Tear->Frozen heart->Zhonya's->Seraph's->Ninja Tabi->Rabadon's->Voidstaff Take barrier/exhaust as your summoner spell outside flash.

You'll total around 250 Armor with runes, you have a potent shield, and damage reduction from autos. Stay with your team and just focus on landing stuns for your team. You still scale incredibly well, and all you need to do is just stick with your team so that he can't go in on you without prep.

Read Yasuo's wiki page since you seem a bit confused about his skills (dodging Wind Wall wut?)

just stay far enough back that he cant dash from a caster minion onto you and you'll be fine.

rush CDR, and keep your Q practically on CD. you will not be able to 1v1 for most of the game unless he towerdives.

his shield mitigates your poke very nicely. so its just a waste of mana and potential CS. if you have excess of both, then its OK.

wait for your jungler to initiate, then you place your stun on top of him while hes already pinned down by your jungler or you risk him just flashing away outright.

do not build tank veigar, it doesnt work under any circumstances. you're mid lane for a reason, and you picked veigar because your team needs magical damage. unless ofc your team is vlad/rengar/brand/corki or something super ham and bursty, but even still 95% of the time, its better for you to also go burst and go hit/miss because then your team will be impossible to fight.

his windwall is only a pain if he uses it while they are at your tower, but in that situation you can ring around him and its easy pickings for anyone on your team to come roam and catch him. all up to your team.
