Hey everyone. So lately I have been playing veigar in the mid lane and I have been having some trouble against ekko. My stun never seems to work because he will always blink right over to it and while fighting under turret keeps me alive it means I can barely get any stacks of my passive. Anything anyone would suggest to deal with this issue or is it just a bad matchup that I have to deal with.
Go first item banshees I guess and take teleport.
I used to main veigar and never found a way to beat ekko...
Ekko's main weakness in this match up is that he's melee. Sure he has his Q, but spamming that loses him mana.
If he's using his Q, try to make him choose between hitting you or your minions with it. Whenever I'm playing Ekko mid, I shoot my Q into minion waves my laner is standing in. When they aren't in the wave, I still shoot into the wave because I'm a farmer at heart.
Use your range to your advantage. When he tries to farm melee or get in your face, use your aerial bomb thing (I think your W) on the area he'll show up.
For Ekko's W, it's all about what is most advantageous for him, which is usually meant to predict where the fight will go. When he does his W, back off asap. It'll usually be on you, or right behind you. If he does it and isn't moving, odds are its on him.
