Rift Herald should reward junglers rather than just top and mid laners

Having the Rift Herald give benefits only to laners is unfair and makes it a worse choice compared to dragon in solo queue

Smiting to kill Rift Herald should extend the duration, or give camp related buffs, so junglers who often enter lane to help push down objectives can still benefit as much as a top or mid laner (assuming they didn't take smite themselves), having extra time for their buff to compensate having to pick it over dragon, along with compensation for running around lanes to help.

I don't see why there can't be a movement speed smite buff, but the laning buff is pretty damn strong tho. Don't want to give it too much power :P

Did you even read anything about the Rift Herald?

It's supposed to benefit the top lane who is to push the lane while the rest of you schmoes try to do other things while the enemy team has to worry about top as likely their top laner by his or herself is not going to be able to handle the massive push. The end result is that likely two people are going to deal with top, leaving a numerical advantage for the rest of your team to do something else, like Dragon or a tower or two, or even forcing a teamfight.

The Rift Herald is a solo-focused objective you give to your top lane because often you're not going to help top when you could help bot instead and try to go for a dragon anyways, or help mid and try to hard push and again... go for dragon. Sure, as it is you could gank top, but you could do more ganking another lane, now there is more incentive to go help the top laner.

Let's try this again:

Rift Herald isn't solo focused at all, if you're trying to say it's meant to be soloed (say lane focused because that's less ambiguous, if that's what you mean).

It takes much less damage from the front so another guy has to hit the back.

Give incentive for jungle help top lane in first place instead of guarantee lane is 2v1. Give jungle roaming potential so lane is 2v2 sometimes at least.

Anyway, if it weren't for dragon, top lane ganks would be so much better because 1v1 to 2v1 is much more impactful than 2v2 to 2v3. Give the jungler a reason to gank top lane by making him potentially benefit from the buff if the top laner doesn't need it, while still taking the benefit away from the enemy top laner, who would definitely want it if there's a reason to not want to be pushed (far behind enough to dive, perhaps?).

It's not fair for the jungler to choose between not denying an important buff, or wasting resources to take an unneeded buff.

And yes, I did read something about it, that's how I knew it gave a buff meant for pushing in the first place.
