Zilean's New Passive is Worse
Not only did they actually make ZIlean's passive WORSE (you can share XP with one person once very two minutes and only if it levels them up, as opposed to early grouping giving XP to all of your teammates passively). But it is also extremely buggy. When your ally who you are giving the XP to is at the max range and walking out of your passive as you are trying to give them XP it just glitches and needs to be redone.
Additionally forcing Zilean to have to CHANNEL experience to his allies is dumb. It only works out of combat so its virtually useless, and if you start it and then the person you just used ur passive on (NOW AN ACTIVE RIOT) gets a kill you don't get an assist. Thanks for the fake buff Riot. This change has done nothing to help fix the issues you said you were going to change. All this does is give Zilean the illusion of being helpful while really making him even worse. I don't want to have to channel experience to my allies to level them up. It sets you up to get stomped if you do it remotely close to lane, and is useless outside of lane. Additionally, the bonus of grouping and providing that additional experience to offset the group reduction in a lane you are pushing no longer exist, meaning Zilean is now relatively useless. You can only you his passive if and ally is about to level up, which means you have to happen to be near them when they are close and be out of combat, and hope they don't level up before you can use your channel that bugs out constantly and in general makes you vulnerable.
This Passive change was the most disappointing change Riot has promised this entire season. All that talk and all you did was cripple Zilean's passive even farther. It is still useless once you are level 18 like before, and now it is often useless before that because the experience builds up to slowly at the lower levels, and at the higher levels the opportunity is missed, and the experience that you build up just sits in your pool endless because you have a 120 second CD and need to be out of combat, by somebody who is about to level up, and have them not be gain experience, to even get a use out of his new passive.
If you want to nerf a character there are plenty of broken juggernauts waiting for you to take away their true damage. Zilean definitely did not need an nerf. Change back his passive, or at least make it so when you use your new crappy passive it uses up all the stored experience so you don't get stuck with 900 experience that you can't do anything with.
While this passive change was completely god awful. Zilean's bomb latching update was on point. Bombs are latching much more constantly and it gave it a much nicer feel when you double toss bombs for the stun. So props on fixing his bombs, now just give us back the old passive until you actually come up with something that helps him.
