I've asked a lot, but I need to ask again

Can someone actually, in full detail, explain to me how to carry plat elo? I've studied everything, tried everything and reviewed professional players do what they do best. Now, I know what a lot of you are going to say, "You have to be doing something wrong". But let me tell you what I've truly, really notice. The quality of teammates that streamers get VASTLY differ from the teammates that I ( and I can safely assume) other people get. If I perform consistently well, I should be able to blow past plat is what people say all the time. But I can go into games performing well and still get shut down by my own team on multiple occasions.

Here's the problem I have with plat elo:

  1. People are really, truly and honestly not good in terms of strategy. I would say 99% of the people in plat made it there solely based on mechanics. No one actually knows how to play the game and it's very detrimental.

  2. People greed way too much. I'm talking about levels of greed that should only exist in bronze elo

  3. They chase kills over focusing objectives consistently

  4. They still don't know how to play properly with a split pusher

  5. They are actual ass at team comp drafting

  6. They don't know how to play with the team comp that they have

  7. They throw leads. Consistently. All the time

  8. They only try to end the game when things look dicey instead of ending the game when the game can be ended

  9. They don't listen and they don't like to be told what to do

  10. They are way too egotistical and it prevents them from playing the game properly

So, as an honest to god question, how do I carry these kind of people who don't listen? In bronze/silver/gold elo it's 10x easier to carry because people don't have a stick up their ass and as long as you prove yourself to make good calls, they listen. As "toxic" as people can get in the lower divisions, I don't think its even nearly as bad as plat elo. People have their spats etc, but in plat it's as good as a loss. You can solo carry easily because people in silver simply don't have the knowledge/mechanics to pull much plays off. However, in plat, where people actually have decently good mechanics (admittedly) and some inkling of an idea of how to play the game, it's much more difficult to solo carry. Honestly, I could work a LOT of my wave control management and laning etc. But it's what comes AFTER laning phase that's the actual problem.

Anyways, I don't mean to write an essay, so anyone can give good tips on climbing through plat elo? And would you recommend duo over soloing? I feel the teams you get in a duo is SO much worse than simply soloing, though. I don't know if it's to make up for the communication error, but it just seems the enemy team gets overall better players.

I feel your pain. The only real solution is to work on your own play. Fewer deaths. More CS.

You should not be dying more than twice a game, maybe 3-4 times at the most. Avoid stupid fights. But the biggest single thing people can do better is creep management. Forget about the others ruining it for you. If you have picked out a few champs that can snowball and carry, you are good to go. Find techniques for each champ to last hit all 6 creeps per wave without taking enemy poke. The bots are actually really good for practicing this because they come after you with a one track mind while you try to farm.

The problem you have in mid game can be overcome two major ways. When a group of two of your buddies goes and does something stupid getting pinched off by 4 of the enemy team, you can set yourself up to zone them from behind and relieve some pressure off your feeding buddies while you maybe get a kill from behind. OR you can ignore their plight and push bot or top tower safely feeding yourself with control wards all around. If you gained more cs than everyone else on the map in the laning phase, then you should be in a good position to keep yourself alive and keep going. Sometimes there will be nothing you can do. But the answer to winning more is improving yourself.

If you consistently outfarm the enemy while minimizing deaths you will win at least 65% of your games and continue to rank up. I'm certain farming cs is what makes the difference between everyone in plat and the top %.

Now that we can watch challenger matches again it will be easy to spot how good they really are compared to the avg player.
