If you don't declare intent and someone bans the champion you "wanted", you're the only one at fault

I seriously cannot understand the logic behind people who flame in champ select about this. If you really want a champ, say something, or declare intent. Any player in any role on your team can ban any champ, so long as there is no visible intent that you want them. So please. Don't cry in champ select because a top laner shouldn't be banning yasuo; just declare intent so people know not to ban them.

I've never had anyone flame over that. I've had a few people comment, but when I said 'sorry, you weren't hovering so I didn't know' they've replied with 'oh right, my bad' and then we went on to play the game.

I don’t care if your name is “Fîįzz”. I’m still banning my main ban if you don’t hover.

Mean people ban me out even when i declare intent :(

Yas gets banned whether you hover him or not. If you're a Yas player you're gonna flame anyway when you go 1v5 and die 10 times in a row.

There is no logic in that, anyone complaining about banning a champion without hovering them or saying anything before the ban are the densest people, like do they even see what they're doing or any logic with their complaint ? does it make any sense to them ? humans are a wonder man.

Ya happens to me on occasion when I am in another dimension somewhere in my mind. I usually say, "damn, you banned xxxxx, fuck me right?" followed by, "you didn't select so I didn't know" and I reply, "You right all good bb, ILYSM"

There is one exception. I'm banning Yuumi regardless if you have her locked in or not.

Just got blocked for 30 minutes because people keep banning my rengar pick when I just want to practice him in normals, fuck these people

If you do declare intent and you're not First Pick, you're also at fault for wanting a high-priority pick/ban champ.

I disagree, a player can ban a champ if you're last pick and it's a highly contested champ or a new champ. I banned someone's Yuumi and he decided to "troll" me by picking Pyke and working together with me and we won.

This is painfully obvious to anyone with IQ over 70. Sadly, League's average is lower than that.

I don't agree with this, mostly because a lot of players will look you up, and ban your champion if they don't like whatever it is you play. It's happened many times in the past, where I'll see someone ban something that isn't commonly banned, but I have been using for a period of time. I had a spurt where I played Vi last season, I never hovered it, more than once it would get banned on my team -- but never from the enemy team.

What does that tell you? It's targeting. Players do not randomly think "I'm going to ban X champion" when it's not meta and they haven't been stomped by it in any recent matches. It happens way more than people think. Just because someone isn't showing their pick, doesn't mean someone else isn't intentionally banning what that player is trying to play.

Idk, banning when someone has a champion name is annoying.

Sometimes when I intend a champ it gets banned by my own team, but that's usually a toxic troll who wants to grief. I just play the game and report them if they do that but it's usually a loss from them running it down or whatever. :L

when my champ gets banned without showing i wanted them i am like oh no ;-; but thats my fault but i purposely dont reveal my intentional pick because there are people out there who like to ban your champ because they dont to play with it ... for me not revealing the pick helps beat this but then its hard to make comps when people dont show intended pick

WyvernEgg5/17/2019, 2:42:55 PM1 votes

That moment when you pick intent yuumi and your team bans her anyway..

General Matty5/17/2019, 3:45:58 PM1 votes

I would rather not show my champ because it's more likely my champ will get banned by my team when i show it.

thommoboy5/17/2019, 5:24:39 PM1 votes

then you have the people who ban it no matter want, there's no winning with people in this game

P0IS0N IVY5/17/2019, 8:01:05 PM1 votes

People also ban your champ if they don't like your declared choice so really I feel like it's a tossup sometimes.

Average Ahri5/18/2019, 11:02:10 AM1 votes

I mean, i usually declare my intent and nothing happens. Also if your ranking u should have at least 2 champ for each preferred lane. 1main and 1 pocket pick. For me it's ahri and akali. I can play them well enough at my elo. So banning one shouldn't affect your win chance. As for intentional ban. That's called griefing and you can report for that with a ticket.
