Pre-Rework Gangplank Main Looking for Advice

Hey Guys, I mained Pre-Rework GP for some 3 odd seasons. I was excited for his rework at first. I'll admit while it does make him more LCS worthy, I am not a fan. I preferred his simpler Q-centric play style. I liked how you had to use a vastly different build depending on who you were laning against, and his old personality was a blast.

With all that said: I've been in a jam lately. I can't seem to figure out who I wan't to play now. I've been trying random champions here and there for awhile now. If you look at my mastery, even though its been quite a long time since the GP rework, no other champion even gets close to my mastery on GP. I'd like if you guys could give me some champs you would recommend I try out.
