So back in the day, Riot avoided abilities with the potential to screw over allies
The rational being that what with the highly toxic playerbase and limited enforcement of the Summoner's code, it was best not to tempt people.
It's now 2018, and
and even
can all cc allies to a greater or lesser extent - Hell, it's season 8, I remember some time in like season 4 or 5 when an allied
got 40% CDR and followed me around, pillaring me every time I tried to recall and interrupting the channel. The new rational is that if people are gonna try to troll their allies, they'll find a way, troll, and get banned. How they choose to ruin games is almost irrelevant.
All that being said, I remember that consideration was given to allowing
ult to target allies - that was the original design intent - but it was eventually removed due to the high trolling potential. Considering the weak spot Liss is in, and the relative simplicity of her kit, I think it's worth reconsidering.
It could allow her to play as more of a supportive champion with a bit more unique strength, rather than just being "Lower range
with slightly more cc and way more mana issues, goes top and makes bruisers cry."
Disclaimer: I've never played Lissandra before, and I hate playing against her.
who has been a troll option to bring Tanks or threats to his Adcs and then walk off with out using E or R. As well as
Trolls using R.
