LEAGUE TALES - Guide to League of Legends News, Tales, and Strategy

I love talking to people while playing games on consoles. It brings a level of competitiveness and enjoyment to the game play when on the console because you don't have access to a keyboard or another means to quickly communicate with your team.

League however, is a different breed of game. I think voice chat will overall be detrimental to the community. If we are already having problems with abusive and toxic people (Keyboard warriors). How much worse will chat be?

I think that the entire idea should be scrapped or approached in a way that mirrors certain voice chat software that we already have access to.

Thoughts? I can't be the only one who sees this going terribly wrong...

it does belong in league... but they HAVE to do it correctly..

it HAS to be optional. frankly discord would perfect if it wasn't for the fact that you cant clink the damn link in-game

if they could just give us a way to past and click links in game it would completely remove the need for voice chat. but doing that would open a whole new can of worms. (like questionable 18+ links)

but it would be cool just to have a option to just "join" your team voice chat. obviously a mute feature would be included. and also a way to make your own voice chat group in the client. that you could then have an option to allow the remining players in your game to hear and/ or talk. would would stick with your party after the game and would remove the non party members after the game.

i mean there is a way they can do it correctly... but i HAS to be done correctly.

if they are going to half ass it and make everyone hear everyone with no mute. then of course i would vote "NO"

Yes, in most games where teamwork is involved and voice chat is enabled I find the players to be less toxic.

This way players can understand eachother a little more to what they are trying to achieve in-game. Also to know there are real 'faces' or voices in this case behind the summoners can reduce toxicity.

I feel it's a step in the right direction and they should take it futher.
