What do you think is the most Balanced Champion in the Game?

We on the boards read about 10,000 times a day that this champion or that champion is broken or gutted and needs to be nerfed or buffed....

But I want to hear what the boards think is the most balanced champion right now.

Personally I think Wukong is in a great state right now, been a relatively powerful sleeper pick that can teamfight and duel ,but does have a reasonable amount of counter play.

Thoughts? What is your pick?

Amumu

he's been at a stable 51-52% win ratio for ages (never actually seen him above 53%), has clear strengths and weaknesses, multiple build paths, clear role purpose. Honestly, he's perfect at what he was designed for and doesn't abuse anything that's been added for a long time.

Velkoz Has straightforward, somewhat simple abilities, but as you get more skilled with him you can use them to their fullest extent. Has clear ways to farm/fight when behind, and while ahead can still be shut down if focused somewhat. His scalings are low, but with his passive, he still does meaningful damage but not overly so unless fed. When behind, can provide utility in the form of slows and his E, poking from range

WinTheWarOnPants17 votes

Velkoz his original kit was the most balanced kit ever made in league. his new kit is still the most balanced IMO but not as good as old kit. Ty rito.

1 800 Top Lane9 votes

Going to have to disagree with that, his combo is extremely easy to land and for the most part its full true damage scaling over 1,000.

Zerenza4 votes

No it isn't, he only does true damage upon hitting his abilities three times then a small chunk of true damage is given. The vast majority of his damage is simply AP.

Spicy Rice3 votes

You forgot the ult change where it does true damage if the target had recently been 3 stacked

Velzard of Koz8 votes

Extermly easy to land? With the current mobility options? You'd have to play against something short-ranged, melee even and immobile. Especially since the E doesn't have high artillery range nor covers big area. If you try to predict movement even slow champs can dodge it. If you throw it on top of them they can use mobility to dodge it, usually on shorter CD than the E.

True, once E is successful, the rest isn't that hard, but there are champs with larger AoEs and more damage.

Also saying it's full true dmg is exxaggorating. The true dmg IS powerful and important, but certainly not full. Unless yo'e playing aganst support Vel'Koz?

If we are serious, then Velkoz , from his release he has always been in a balanced state (Sometimes a bit underpowered). He has clear strenghts, clear weakneses, clear counterplay and is balanced in both numbers and kit perspective.

Aatrox . Everyother champion is overpowered, overtuned and with overloaded kits. kapa :D

Nami Orianna Velkoz These champions all have weaknesses to play around(that are very clear and obvious) but they have strengths and take some skill to play Vel'Koz is all skill shots and is immobile Orianna's ball is slow and she'd need a host for her ball so it isn't as easily noticed, but in return her aoe damage is great while combining some support aspects like her shield, slow and speed up Nami has 2 pretty easy to dodge abilities(and she's hella squishy), that being her ult and Q, but she can bring some damage and utility to compensate, a good heal, 2 forms of cc and a slow that your adc can apply while being able to boost your allies speed

Honorable possibly bias mention: Ahri

Like this one, very skill based play maker, counterplay potential as well.

Disagree here, for a support he is extremelly overloaded.

The literal poster child for kit bloat the counterplay to lantern is basically having to flash on it instantly when he throws it or your target is pulled a screens length to safety.

How about nah

Yorick's recent buff and complete overhaul made him from almost unplayable to "wow i wish i had played a different game" by the time his stun is done

Jon11744 votes

Karthus i would say he is balanced

Mr Carbon3 votes

I think he may be a bit behind the curve with the assassin changes, but was very balanced in s6 as a whole

Jon11742 votes

I Disagree have you ever seen an assassin jump on a Karthus who has item 3116, It does not end well

Spicy Rice2 votes

Nope, but that's because I've never seen a karthus player

Isaacorion4 votes

In my (probably biased) opinion, Morgana. Her kit isn't loaded with 5 passives. Her bind is really rewarding to land, but is not overly difficult to dodge.

So far, there has only been one support mentioned (with the slight exception of Vel'koz).

So, I'm going to say Nami. Yeah, yeah, she's a redemption abuser, but that's the item, not the champ. She has very clear strengths and weaknesses, her skillshots can be dodged easily enough, she does her job EXTREMELY well while not feeling overbearing, and has just the right amount of variance in her kit to compliment different playstyles. She is also quite easy to play, but has a high enough skill ceiling to where you can pick out the good from the great Nami players.

I'd even go as far as saying that she is the best designed support in the game.

Reading the comments below, Velkoz is a top contender for one of the most balanced champions. Three comments saying Vel'Koz with 5 upvotes. From my experience, consistently very strong champion since release.

I meant balanced literally. She has good form when /dance.

Poppy She does what she's meant to do, she isn't completely oppressive in lane, you can position yourself to be safe from her, even if she builds large amounts of ad she can't delete you immediately, leaving her open to retaliation, she's consistently tanky and useful, her W was meant to counter dash yet doesn't last too long, she peels effectively, her ult(and whole kit) is a perfect example of how skill should be rewarded, and at the end of the day she isn't impossible to deal with, just hard to, like a tank should.

Hrd2H1t3 votes

I think Orianna and Sion are perfect balance wise. They can be played somewhat effectively by a first timer but players more experienced with the champion can do a lot more.

Oddly enough they are my 2 favorite champions at the moment. IDK, I just love their skill curves.

Wukong has always been strong, and I feel that the only reason he hasn't been nerfed is simply because there are always extremes that he's compared to. Like Riven or Pantheon.

Poppy Rumble AurelionSol Sivir Have all been pretty stable and all things considered are relatively balanced. Sol has been exploiting Crystal Scepter, but that's not his fault, it's the item's.

Solitair2 votes

Poppy is too safe. She can feed and still be impossible to kill with respectable damage. She's a surprisingly good duelist as well. I think she's a bit overtuned, and that is part of why she was picked at worlds so much. A. Sol is incredibley strong, but also has many avenues of counterplay--it's just that his strengths honestly trump those avenues if he's in the right hands. For a player who is skilled at prediction and positioning, there are really almost no unfavorable matches for an ASol. Combine with playmaking ability and map awareness, this guy is incredibley understated. Rumble is a meta slave champion who has to undergo cycles of being allowed to be strong, and being forced to be mediocre.
