Is veigar even playable anymore?

I feel like i do absolutely nothing with him. Either talon one shots me before i know what ahppened or the tanks just cc me and block my q and shit.

Veigar is fine but you have to pick him more into free lanes like vs Kog or Nidalee mid.

Talon is supposed to one shot you. I'd be shocked if he didn't (assuming the player knows how to play Talon). Best thing you can do in that matchup is just farm and build defensively. Maybe getting an early gank from your jungler before talon hits 6 as well due to him not being as strong during that point. As for tanks soaking up your burst, the best way to deal with them is to just peel them away through any means your team may have so that your ADC can kill them and/or your team can get to the enemy backline who you should actually be able to kill. Veigar is still a really solid low ELO pick and always will be due to the inherent lack of ability to close games that most bronze and silver players have and he is still an amazing pick in general due to the solid late game pressure he does bring to a team. However, the current state of the game heavily promotes snowballing and earlier matches, so the state of Veigar in the meta has slipped from just a month or two ago. LoL is a faster game now than it was in Season 5, and the slipping of popularity of late game champs shows this quite a bit. Veigar still can work in the hands of an experienced player even though he might not be the best mid rn though, so don't let that dissuade you at all. He's still very much a usable champion despite whatever bad experiences you may be having.
