Speculation: What If Flash Was Made Into A Standard Ability Like Recall Was?

EDIT: Before downvoting me, please explain why instead of "lul it'll br3ak the game bcuz rezonz" instead of downvoting without a second thought, as feedback is extremely helpful in crafting ideas, especially in speculation threads.

As a speculation question, with Statistics from Lolking (about 95.2% Ranked) (about 94.2% Normals) (Lolking is the only source I can find for statistics :/), What if summoner 4 was made into a Standard Ability like was made into, and people had the choice of choosing two different Summoner Spells?

Personally, I would feel as if it would increase diversity, with summoner 6 likely being the primary choice, due to its 28-45% MS and low cooldown, and seeing other choices such as double summoner 11 on teams for extra dragon/baron control, summoner 3 summoner 14 for duelers, and allowing survivability in a 1v2, summoner 21 / summoner 7 / summoner 1 for ADCs and Mages who wish to survive longer, Even the return of some older summoner spells that got removed, along with the implementation of new summoner spells for more people to use, just like the availability of Clarvoyance , summoner 13 on SR, Revive , Even things such as a Fortify/Garrison Summoner Spell!

I personally believe it would allow Riot to open up to more choices and thought into choosing summoner spells instead of "meh, I'm jungle, summoner 4 summoner 11 it is."

NOTE: For the Statistics that say something like "47.6%", Keep in mind everyone has to choose TWO summoner spells per game, so that doubles.

I also did SR, Monthly, All Ranks Ranked/Normal for my statistics.

I hope this sparks some interesting conversation, and new ideas could come along and allow Speculation on new/improved summoner spells!

From a design standpoint, it certainly makes a lot of sense. Flash has become fairly ubiquitous in League, as you said and provided evidence for. It feels silly to "select" it every game when everybody uses it almost all the time anyway.

In balance terms, it's a bit trickier. I don't like the idea of giving everybody essentially an extra summoner spell; imagine adding ~4 Exhausts and 1 Ignite to every team. That's an unhealthy layer of complexity that League should avoid. Any given fight would be decided by which team uses their Exhausts better.

Frankly, I'd say the better solution would be to simply remove Flash from the game, but it's become such a fundamental aspect of League that I'm pretty sure people would revolt if it were suddenly removed.

I agree with you on every aspect in this comment essentially, It "feels" like I have to have it just because everyone has it.

And I see your point on your example on Exhaust, Which is why I would hope an introduction of new/different summoner spells could also increase diversity, preventing people from rushing 4 exhaust, while adding a bit of spice to the game, so to speak.

EDIT: I also agree that Flash's removal would be a good choice for the game tbh, would lead to people creating better positioning instead if using Flash as a crutch for engaging, mistakes, and things of the like.

i mean it COULD work at the same time however.. imagine someone such as vayne running at you with flash, cleanse and some other summoner spell, she wouldn't be stopped unless you have 2 forms of hard cc.

She could, however. With you having a flash of your own, Exhaust/Cleanse/Barrier/heal, Ghost for repositioning, etc.

Don't think of specific situations necessarily, Try to think of including tools for everyone to have, and some to use effectively the same as the other, for counterplay and such.
