What is the actual nasus counterplay?

In s2 and s3 with the old rune system, the champ was a bit of a feast or famine champ that came online, all things normal, around 25 min. He was still strong, but his stacking was slow, and ult did not have all the BS like 50% Q cdr and bonus range like its been given now, it was mostl a defensive ult with a little aoe magic dmg. He had mana issues in lane, and didnt have things like grasp and overgrowth to boost his defensive by like 10% additionally by level 6.

Now hes just a pain in any game, period. You need your jungler to dedicate himself for 10 minutes to try and keep him completely shut down in stacks and levels, and we all know what soloq is like.

Played riven into him, and cheese FB him with 3 stack passive and then triple Q with autos. killed him again when he tped back into lane. killed him once more as im 6 and he is 4.

Had a massive gold and xp lead, 50 farm lead, and he then turns 6.

Any attempts to all in, even after poking him down to like 75% first, still result in my death. The stacking mechanic is stupid now, it stacks 2-3 times faster than before. Why? Why does 0/3/0 nasus with 45 farm have 120 stacks still? Why can he suddenly now slow my ass and my AS so hard even comboing with a ad caster like riven is horribly slow, and gain like 40 armor over the duration of his ult, while dealing % hp damage, gaining a bunch of health and 50% Q cdr and bonus range?

CC counters a lot of things, its not an answer. Any champ that cant go unstoppable or isnt olaf is gated by CC. Yes, he is more so, quite immobile, but given he can build 4 tank items and still 2 shot the enemy bruiser at 15-20 min, he needs other counterplay, and it has to be around his stacking - ie., in his laning phase.

If nasus is correctly denied stacks and xp, he shouldnt suddenly not only become safe but become a complete threat to the enemy laner just as he hits.

Either stacking needs to be toned down a lot, or the ult needs to not be a complete stat ball. Reduce the armor and mr gain, make it 25% cdr on Q, something. Absolute nonsense right now.

Just kill him early game and snowball so he can't free farm and scale to late game

In this current meta, you can just kill him. He doesn't have the tools to deal with how much damage and mobility champions have now.

Beat the shit out of him early, and don't be a champion he beats regardless come level 7.

Manage the wave better (Most champions can zone him early on, so if the wave is on your side he's fucked as hell), too.

Barring that, stall without letting him free farm. Despite popular belief, Nasus is not a late-game champion. He is, in fact, a mid-game champion. Late-game, all he can do is split or act as a deterrent to divers and assassins, because he's generally going to be kited to death otherwise.

If you can't stall while you wait for your carries to catch up, murder his team. Nasus wins (almost) every single 1v1 in mid-game and late-game, and he can win 1v2s and even 1v3s. He can't 1v5 unless he's fed as fuck, though.

Nasus has to rely on his team to do anything. He can split all he wants but if his team doesn't do anything with that split he's generally going to lose. And if his team is dead he's not doing shit.

I usually play something that can roam and let him free farm while I go rape his team. I'll sometimes get fed and be able to 1v1 him in the side lanes after but even if I won't he'll be useless as fuck even with a thousand stacks if I get the rest of my team fed. And when I say free farm I don't mean leaving the lane and never going back, I'll go catch waves then invade his jungler or roam mid then go catch another wave, if I play with tp bot is an option as well straight from the fountain then tp top. But it depends on how he reacts, if he doesn't give a fk about stacks and rushes for tower when I leave then I'll have to stay in lane more.

Get Executioner's/Bramble. Freeze the wave in front of YOUR tower. Get your jungler to kill him with you a couple times.

I had a Nasus in a game yesterday that single handedly Penta'd us at Baron. I was jungling(Olaf) so my solution was to build a BotRK and secure Elder buff. It worked.

Nasus is in a pretty good spot right now.

I agree... players saying "get your JG to camp" isn't a valid response

I played into Nasus with a Fiora... I had literally just Googled a guide on the matchup and how to beat... I got a few kills, was up on farm... this giant doggo fights me again... I parry the wither, get out of ult, then I ult and land every vital... HE FLASHES, the thinks he is dead as hell. So I keep running him down, and 2 Qs he goes from being dead to killing me.

The champ is so stupid even the players playing him think they should be dead but his Q stacking is busted.
