I think Nunu's slow should scale slightly.

Proposed change: Nunu: E slow changed from 50% to 40/45/50/55/60%.

A large part of why Nunu is so good both early, mid, AND late, is because of his clear speed, reliable cc, and reliable engage/ganks. You can't outrun 600 ms at level 3, so I'm looking to see if Nunu's cc can be reduced in a reasonable manner in the early game, then return its power in the late game where he'll be used in teamfights when the slow part of the E feels lackluster/insignificant.

Right now, his early ganks are extremely reliable, but his late game E doesn't FEEL useful until you pop the E and root 2 or 3 enemies. By decreasing the slow early, it reduces his early game threatening presence, and by increasing it late, it increases the synergy with R and punishes bad positioning harder against enemies.

Obviously this is a small change. I don't know too much about the jungle, but I feel like this will help make nunu feel better to play and play against

Nunu is strong because of Aftershock. To give you an idea of how strong aftershock is it gives up to 125 armor when it triggers. That's 40 more armor than a thornmail item 3075 .

It's also very telling because champions who normally scale on health are taking Aftershock like Volibear and friends. Take Nunu, he has 3 different parts of his kit that scale with health plus the damage buffer having more health provides. Two on his Q and the shield on his R.

So, you would expect him to take a lot of health runes right? Nope. Takes Aftershock and Revitalize.

Also, Conqueror changes come in soon and Nunu's biggest counter (Trundle) is currently especially weak after a lot of nerfs and is not meta anymore. Nunu's rise in power currently has more to do with items and meta than the champion itself.

Nice theory but it doesn’t relate to Nunu’s insane ganking reliability but rather just his late game tanking viability, which definitely doesn’t need to take a hit.

I'm talking about his ganking reliability not his tanking reliability because that's the most frustrating part of his kit to play against, and shifting that power to late game peeling, which is the most frustrating part of his kit to use.

Aftershock is the one crutch tanks have to lean on to deal with burst damage.

His ganks are so incredibly reliable. 450 movement speed at level 2 on his W for more than 5 seconds with proper chargeup means that even without anti-vision communicated with your support, you can make a reliable 1 second knockup, a second of a 50% slow, and a 0.5-1.5 second root. Once you get ult, add a scaling slow up to 99% for 3 seconds.

you're kidding right?.. you honest to god can't feel the same way playing him as old nunu.. who was strong in the right hand, but weak in the wrong. but like you can't play him now and not be insanely useful, no matter what. so long as you've played jg more than 1 time ever before..

I'd be fine with that. He's my main and even I agree his ganks feel a little to reliable. However, that's mostly vs champions that don't have mobility or something like Lux Q that they can throw at him, and he is kind of a clear counter to those unfortunate kind of champs.
