I've played against one azir this season in midlane in D4. There is no other matchup i remember being so horrible. Azir is straight up disgusting and i wonder what riot smoked to even consider buffing him. It is absolutely miserable to lane against him. Give me five yasuos at once before i have to lane against azir again.

Agree on all but Illaoi, all you have to do is not get in melee range from her ult and she's done. No cc, no mobility, she's extremely easy to play against.

Hm, in team fights yes. But playing against her as an immobile melee in lane is pain. If she hits her E (which isn't hard in melee range), she pretty much automatically we ins the trade.

I get that that's the point since she is a lane bully. But I understand if people find it frustrating. Darius is worse imo tho.

One thing I found to work agains her is early phage+tabi.

When CS-ing you get 105 ms which allows you to run circles around her.

Something to keep in mind about Illaoi, is that she's self-zoning. She doesn't do squat without her tentacles. Her ult is the only reason she's able to leave lane (or team-fight). Being melee against her sucks. Immobile, even more so. But if you can keep on top of her passive, she'll struggle just to leave turret. She's the only champion where "walk away" is actually a viable and non-BS form of counter-play (ult).

Also, you can "buy back" your spirit when she takes it. It has a duration of 10 seconds -1 every time you damage her (regardless of amount). If you have any kind of DoT, her E's effectiveness falls through the floor. Especially if you have a fast-ticking one (ex: Amumu's tears tick every half second).

Fizz - Troll pole is the most toxic, insufferable ability in the game, and playing against him feels like a level check. Is he 6? If no: you're fine. If Yes: if he has ulti, you're dead.

Pantheon - Because not being able to leave tower range is fun as fuck. And being dove anyway because he can oppress you into tower and then kill you under it consequence-free is even more fun.

Tryndamere -Because losing a trade cuz of RNG at level 2 is fun as fuck. And babysitting him so he can't splitpush you to death is even more fun, and him doing it anyway is the most fun of all.

In terms of gameplay, I'd rather not leave your ears ringing.

In terms of character, here's my top 3: Fiora They literally put her in the game to have the arrogant French fencer stereotype. Then they made her wear yoga pants so people would hate her less. Not to mention she has hair highlights in a medieval-type region, where that doesn't make sense unless Demacians vape, too. Not to mention she's wearing really stupid crap for a duel, like A SINGLE SHOULDER GUARD. God I hate La Baguette.

Udyr This guy is so damn boring. "I'm a wild dude who can't choose 1 spirit animal hahah" seriously? And he looks like he's a homeless guy who stole a bear carpet from a garage sale and started wearing it on his head. Even SG, his ultimate skin, is meh at best in presenting a real story.

MissFortune Screw this champion. 10 bucks says she was created primarily so League would have a porn star champion. No matter how you spin a story for her, her existence makes no sense. Even an armored bear or a chronomage makes more sense in a magical battle than "look half my character model is hanging off my chest so I'm relevant." Bland character overall, I feel sorry for the poor sods that had to write a good story for her, and even in that she proves to be dumb as bricks. "Hey look I took over Bilgewater but didn't do anything to make it better but Gangplank is gonna take it back anyway." Real productive, Sarah. Real f*cking productive. Why don't you screw up Demacia but give Jarvan his throne, while you're at it?

Heimerdinger : Heimer feels like he was designed for a different game entirely. His kit is so oppressively strong against champions that cannot survive or endure fights against his turrets, and if you specifically take out the turrets, and the turrets survive and you can't go in, heimer slowly repairs and replaces them one by one, eventually becoming this scaling monstrosity of a lane push. You basically have to camp the dude and put him into the ground so he doesn't become relevant midgame, and lategame his scalings become outright ridiculous with his mega turret nearly one shotting squishies with a cannon barrage. His lane push forces all melees without long range burst harass to suffer, and even then, if they can't put down the turrets in one hit, they just get healed because of heimer's stupid passive existing for the sole purpose of being annoying.

Shaco : Okay, sidenote here: if you main this champion, you actually have no standards IRL. You're the guy that says he'll pay for the part pizza at the party and then spots a few off his friend and makes the dude pay double. Shaco doesn't deserve to exist, he doesn't. He's problematic in all of his design: A champion designed to tilt players and make them uncontrollably rage because the counterplay to a fed shaco is that their is none. You think you caught him but why not just add a mini flash with an invis amirite, give him an invuln + a juking clone? Turn your back to run from him and you just aid him in killing you. What the hell are you supposed to do? run forwards? His boxes deal ridiculous amounts of damage toplane since they're literally everywhere, and in jungle its a free first clear. Hell, Riot has gone out to state if Shaco can cheese any more than he has with his boxes early to get a BS lead, Riot will literally dismantle him with nerfs because shaco is too strong. And don't forget shaco syndrome. the idea that the opponent shaco is the long lost brother of Faker, child blessed by the three kings Contractz, Peanut, and Lira, to deliver unholy transcendence upon this land, and our/your shaco is plastic 20 and is probably a clown in real life, and not just the actual profession, I mean this guy is a failure in everything he does except making you either laugh or cry. Usually both because its you promo series, you have a near full lategame teamcomp, and your jungler picks shaco.

Why does Jayce exist? No seriously, that's my question, why does Jayce exist? League in its early days learned a lot about learning to balance champions out and where to try and place them. "Don't bring manaless champions to botlane" "Don't try and make midlane mages supports" (HA GOOD TRY THERE RIOT, REALLY TRYING ON THAT ONE) "Don't make random chance champions" "Don't make completely global ult champions" (I mean GP hasn't been seen a ton after his release, thank god for that) but the biggest offender... "Don't make controlled transforming champions bullies". This is such a simple idea. Nidalee was always a solid tier pick, never weak, until Riot basically made the jungle nigh impossible for her to clear because people were so tired of see her in games clearing camps like they didn't exist. Udyr was gutted multiple times and STILL makes it back every single time, the gates were always opened. So out of all things, of all ideas, did they decide "No, lets not make them an only melee, or only ranged, with no AP scalings, and make it an AD scaling lane bully with stat check gameplay?" WHO THE HELL AT RIOT WAS ACTUALLY NOT ON ACID WHEN THEY MADE THIS CHAMPION? Not only does he have built in engage, hard CC, poke, mobility, mana regen bonuses, power poke, waveclear, burst potential, duel potential, harass potential, but he also have free goddamn cupholders built into his hammer so he can taste your salty tears ever time he catches them when he knocks you clean into a grey screen with a hammer to you gut. I can't think of when Jayce wasn't a good bully champion. Like legit, even the other lane bullies have hard times matching up to him unless your name is (honorable mention, I'll never forgive the 750 crit on Q just to spite me) , and even then Pantheon still gets outscaled by this guy, meaning eventually the BULLY GETS BULLIED BY THE OG BULLY. Renekton and Gnar beware the wrath of a full Q E empowered cannon spike that clears half my goddamn HP bar, my teammates, my hopes and dreams, my parents, my EX (oh sh-t he's actually not that bad of a guy in lore) along with my chances of getting out of elo hell(s). Now this isn't to say Jayce is flat out overpowered. God no his lategame is horrid if he can't land lethality poke, and if he falls even a bit behind he can't become this monster.... But then you realize his passive says "Screw it, stat checked". His ability to land a Q, or at least a burst combo, declares how the lane is going to end. If he lands the burst combo, your laner has lost. If he misses, your laner has still probably lost. Why's that? His E+Q combo isn't necessary thanks to his hammer burst. Since the initial hit on his passive proc for cannon overpowers the opponent, you've procc'd extra burst, connecting into a full W+R+Auto/Q+Q/Auto+W+E combo. The hammer provides tank stats so unless you also built BC or Lethality and manage to somehow have the gold to afford those items, prepare for fancy footwork because this entire combo is point and click. The second its preformed Jayce doesn't even need to smile to tick you off. And with lethality, his burst becomes that much more ridiculous thanks to it now scaling off of level, meaning farther ahead laners like jayce can buy MORE burst potential items and become a snowballing monster who will roam and toss cannon Qs all over the map, seigeing turrets faster than North Korea can sink their political and social standings. Jayce is an asshole. I really hope he gets changed in some meaningful way where he doesn't just bully people.

~~Ivern, Irelia, Shaco ~~ Fizz insane dmg, "outplays", a gapclosing ability that makes you immune to 95% of all dmg sources in the game and does tons of dmg, his stupid ult with one of the most messed up hitboxes in the game. Fiora Q dmg and lane bully potential. her parry is just.....why, why does it dodge ALL forms of dmg, deals dmgs back to you, can stun you, and if not then slows you, its ranged, and the worst thing about it, slows your god damn attack speed. Nasus QQQQQQ. From my days as a top lane main i grew to really hate this champ. Everyone always says "just bully him when he tries to get stacks. its so ez." But that shit just does not work. Whenever i bully him hes just lifesteals it right back. Even when i deny him farm and win my lane he still just farms it up then comes back 20 minutes later destroying my whole team. And as an Irelia main, his whither hits so damn hard. I just really do not like him. and now these buffs.....just....omfg

I just ban him when I'm top now. I don't care if he's weak, strong or balanced, I don't want to play against him, ever. I've also found that Nasus players typically have no idea what they're actually doing in the game and when you ban Nasus they still try their farm-fest top lane and just lose to any pressure you lay down on any other lane.

I've hated her since the season I started playing. Low cost spammable harass paired with a one shot that only requires landing one easy to hit skillshot. (Especially for how safe she is)
