Why isn't banning preferred picks from teammates a reportable offense?

Im seeing it more and more these days.

You declare what you wanna play, an ally bans it, then just laughs at you.

And you're supposed to just take it?

Why isn't hovering someone's preferred ban a reportable offense?

I think Riot considers it to be in a gray area between 'intentionally griefing' and 'valid competitive strategy.' A lot of the times when I see this happen, the player says it's because they don't want the enemy team to pick it first, which I think is a valid point. If it's a strong pick like Irelia, Jax, or Pyke, chances are someone would most likely pick it and it's kind of a coin toss if your team or their team would get it first.

Not trying to say I agree with the people who do use it to intentionally grief, just trying to offer a reason as to why it isn't bannable. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

If it's a highly contested pick that you don't want to play against and your ally is picking last, I could see value in banning the champ. If the champ has a low win rate, won't work with your team, or doesn't work well in solo queue, I can see banning the champ. If the champ is named Riven or Yasuo then you should ban it immediately because the ones on your teams will always be terrible.

well... theres the line of saying if your last pick its kinda risky to have x champ remain in play so they ban it to be safe side but if they did it because lolz i feel i would 100% report them no matter what rulez say. its not right to cause toxic behavior and get away with it.

Because people don't want to see XxPuzzyAnnihilator2006xX instalock fucking Yasuo into a clear counter. They ban it because they don't miss them go 0/8 and then flame LITERALLY EVERYONE. I never do this I have my go to bans that's it. But for some reason I only see declared Yasuo Riven etc get banned by their own team. Its that simple. I do understand how high the skill cap is on those champs. Thats why I don't trust them. I'm a pleb I play Vi and WW and Kayn and I know that if I see a Yasuo on the enemy team imma set my tent and I don't leave until they are 0/5. Usually works. So I expect my opposing jungler to do the same and no, they won't play safe, no they won't check minimap when I ward them around no they won't care when enemy darius is MIA. They are going to make the play. The play on aftershock flash available Lissandra while they are 2 lvls down and have no f. They will do it. And fail. And I don't like losing because of them. So go ahead ppl, ban those champs.

So you want troll-picking to be allowed, is what I'm understanding? You want to make it impossible to ban out the Ashe top, Evelynn mid, Sona supp or Lux jungle. Despite having a 0.1 kda & 3% winrate. That sounds like a miserably terrible idea.

I'm about 99% certain the only kids crying about banning-out teammates are the ones who themselves are hovering troll picks. The very kids that are the reason why it is perfectly okay to ban out teammates.
