Was the Elder Dragon Removed from the Game?

In the last 30 ranked games I've played (dating back to 5/31) 5 games have made it to the 35:00 minute mark. My team either stomps or the enemy team stomps. The current state of the game doesn't allow for a defensive/stall to reach this late game Riot keeps speaking of. If you do manage to make it to 35:00 minutes congratulations you survived 3 possible Baron power plays.

This to me is unacceptable. The fact that a game ending siege buff can spawn 3 times before the Elder Dragon appears, has made the Elder Dragon completely useless, and dragons in general kind of useless, why do we need those buffs when we are all strong enough without them? Mountain was supposed to help siege, however towers and baron are so weak defensively when taking them that Mountain doesn't really matter. Who needs Fire when everyone not a crit marksman can one shot you. Wind, blinks and dashes and cc counter. Ocean, good luck being able to stall when you probably won't live long enough to actually regen.

Games can no longer be stalled. Trying to stall loses your lane from tower pressure. No longer can you actually sit under tower and if you are at a disadvantage number wise at said tower, that tower is gone, as three champions are enough to push you out of lane, regardless of which lane it is.

I'm not entirely sure how to fix this, it is just something I wonder if Riot is aware of and considering when they speak of this ever elusive late game.

The pace of the game no longer matches the pace at which these buffs are available. Baron is too strong too early, and the Elder comes too late to even be in the game anymore.

Thoughts? I would love to actually have a productive conversation, maybe as a community we can figure out a way to offer some sort of solution that doesn't break the game further~

Perhaps going back to one dragon that has all 4 of the buffs combined into one and multiple kills of that Dragon would stack those buffs, could make dragons worthy again and you would not have to worry about trying to stall to an Elder Dragon, which at the current pace of the game, you may never see, nor would you have to worry about RNG making the dragon even less desirable than they are already becoming.

Give it time to catch up man

Not everyone thinks that league games dragging for 40-60 min is the best way for the game to survive the future.

Shorter games are also better for spectating. Bigger audiences mean better revenue.

I guess it depends on you’re elo. Often times invite silver we get to the elder dragon mark because the lack in game knowlegde often create some windows to stall. Honestly I think the snow ball of the game comes from the player. If you look at pros they barely die. But outside of that you see people’s chase for kills, not warding, not understanding champion abilities and cooldowns, and power spikes. People don’t understand how to recognize they are behind or how to play from behind.

With that being said there are numerous factors to take into place that Riot can’t control. Yes there are things they can change and tweak, but there’s more external factors that have an effect on the snowball of the game.

What I’ve learned is I cant control others actions so I just try to inspire by playing better, applying game knowledge the best I can and realizing, maybe I’m not going to be mvp every match.
