So about Sona...
Does anyone else find her dull to play? What are your current thoughts on her?

I like her a lot, one of my favourite champions. Crescendo is really a cool ability to use and Power Chord is one of the best passives in the game - what other champion has an Exhaust in their kit?
I know you don't need to worry about aiming but she brings stuff to make up for the simplicity - mostly I like how I can be mobile while casting. And I always feel impactful on her.
Thanks for the reply. :))
Cresendo and her PASSIVE are really cool abilities.I just dont know,I dont feel any joy while playing her, especially in lane.I just press W to heal and Q to poke, thats it. People do enjoy playing as her(it seems),the problem must be in me then. Well thanks again. :D
I think the built in Exhaust is what does it for me.
And I normally prefer Karma.
Not at all. Her play is fun in it's own way; It's more about positioning and adjusting to the circumstances. You end playing to slowly alter the situation again again, winning by making the scenarios more favorable to you and your team. That's enjoyable in it's own way that's different from other champions that can be just "press all the buttons".
No, I am not biased.
But pressing buttons is all Sona does. Her Q&W arent even point and click abilities. This is the reason i find her dull.
Pointing at something while pressing a button isn't harder or even materially different from just pressing that same button. That's all that needs to be written about that, though I could make a point on how, because of how the range and resolution of her abilities is determined, they are "harder" to land than if they _were _ point-and-click, which is fail-proof.
If you are going to think that way, you could equally say "pressing buttons is all he does" for every champion, because League is pretty simple, it's just a four button game after all. The point of that section was to point out that Sona plays wholly different than some other champions who can unfortunately be rather "Lane, until the time comes to press all your buttons" or "press R, then mash all your spells and actives"; a player can get by for quite a while with that on some choices, but that doesn't work for champions like Sona or Janna.
I actually really like playing her, because she feels like a really great teamplayer. That and AP sona mid can be very fun when you surprise people with how much burst you actually have.
SHES THE GREATEST CHAMPION EVER MADE I LOVE HER BOOTY IN THE ULTIMATE SKIN.
Umm,arent you going off topic? xd
probably i was tired.
Dont forget coffee is love, coffee is life...
Yuck lol.
O___O
i <3
i think she is a lot of fun to play.... but then others could argue that im not vry good so i am learning many other things at the same time as playing sona
because her abilities are "simple" to use, point n click aura if u will there are other aspects of the game and the champion that you are able to focus on
the mini games if u will.... i could describe more but these are an example of some...
the most obvious ones for sona are positioning.... minion shields and minion agro... all good games in themselves, all important and maybe more relevant to a poke support like sona who is able to stand on top of minions to block hits by the enemy adc and create minion agro
sona's passive is the power cord, after 3 basic abilities, her next attack is more powerful.... k so remember 3.... hymn of valor, 2 magic pokes + on hit magic damage with ur auto, k, so u do max damage when u are at ur full passive charge, use an auto attack to proc the q.... e to hide behind the nearby minion and out of auto range, then back in with ur shield being hit directly after and the q for the 3rd basic powerup, and another auto.... i mess it up, but that kinda combo is a goal and harder to do than you might think, but when it works, adc's die... if ur adc is on it...
did u use ur w debuff on that leo all in and hit the adc, then follow up with ur exhaust...
mana... need to pay attention to that one, and i dont mean just urs.... when the enemy has no mana on mana depended supports/adc's and u do because u have not been playing as a healbot.... kill secured
lower elo games for me = fewer wards seen.... so i try to do my part to ward where i am as well as where i need to see, which leads to...
...the warding game, warding, counter warding, fighting over wards in tri... these are things that go along in every game as a support, as a sona support i find myself more cognitive of this, my pink in tri is always being fought over, they ward, see my pink and go for it... my goal is to destroy their wards, keep my pink, poke em for gold and damage, if my adc is on it, we can get a kill
how to stay alive.... sona is squishy... sona is slow.... if the enemy is proficient enough to know this, u will be dead sometimes while ur adc is at full health, still farming minions.... then an exasperated sona! in chat.... a game worthy goal as a sona player is just staying alive, i would say even more so than other champs because its hard... and staying relevant.... people say sona is weaker late game, this is true, partially because of how squishy she is, more so if built for utility or ap, and people staying alive with her tend to not help as much, cuz those shields need to be in the middle of it sometimes, her attacks are at auto range, and thats just silly dangerous as a sona.... high risk high reward?
anywayz.... u see what im talking about.... because im not focusing as much on her skill shots, or the complicated nature of her kit, i am able to focus on other things... other interesting games in the game
now, im not saying it would not be interesting to have a more intensive kit, but it is what it is, and since i enjoy the champ, and the game as a whole i think im able to amuse myself well enough
Wow.Have you ever writen a Sona guide? You could make a good one.
Besides that,I dont really have a problem playing as/with/against Sona,I just dont feel satisfaction while playing her.I love Soraka,Bard, Nami,Janna and Lulu(now that she got ˇmana-buffs˝),but when playing Sona I just dont feel right. Maybe I just like a different playstyle.IDK
I love playing her. Especially if you have her DJ skin. She can do mega poke damage, and I like how I can move and cast spells. She's mega slow early game but otherwise I like playing her. Currently at master level 4 now ;)
i love her. my only issue is the dj skin makes the game more like to lag
Which power chord to use can be very situational, so I'd say no, she doesn't get boring to play. And IMO, navigating your way through a dangerous team fight to tag your allies with auras is a much more fun 'mini-game' than, say, Bard's chimes..which often feels non-interactable with not only your team, but the enemy team as well.
