Proof that we need an anti-mobility mechanic

You might say that proving such a thing is impossible. Which may be true, but actually it can be shown that the game, in it's current state, can't be balanced without it. The math behind this is pretty complicated, but I've found a way to say it that should be somewhat understandable at least. I will relate it to page rank. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank

You see, why does one page get a higher rank than another? More pages are pointing at it, or it's part of a closed circuit that there's nothing pointing out of. Why is B ranked so high? Yep, it's because it has so many things pointing at it. And C? It's part of B's little closed circuit. There's nothing pointing out of B and C so naturally they drain most of the page rank out of the rest of the system. In fact, if it weren't for the chance of randomly jumping to any point in the system, they'd eventually have almost the entire 100%.

How does all this relate to league? First, consider that each arrow represents a match-up, where the winner is who the arrow is pointing towards, Then, consider that B is mobility, and that it counters everything that points at it. Yep, that's right, it counters skill shots, kitable champions, anything else you want to get into or get away from, etc. It counters tons of things. But it has what counter? Right now, only C, which are the few good point and click stuns left, such as Annie. That's right, because they're part of this superior little closed circuit, these point and click stun users have a huge rank even though they weren't really that good before mobility became so OP.

Why can this not be balanced? Guess what, if you nerf B too much, then C gains all the rank. If you nerf C, then B gains all the rank. If you nerf B and C all the way down so that they'd be on the same power level as the rest of the graph, then C is actually useless since barely anyone would bother with B. So it's still massively unbalanced.

So the solution is that there must be some new node that points out of that little safe area containing B and C. This would be the anti-mobility champion, item, etc., or whatever it is. A champion that denies enemy mobility but is easily hit by skillshots and killed by most skillshot heavy champions that don't rely on mobility.

Wouldn't anti-mobility be STUNS?

mobility is only good because players cant watch the map. Why nerf something just because players are bad? thats like giving the mlb aluminum bats because 1/4 of them cant hit home runs with a wooden bat

Actually its more like giving most MLB teams the aluminum bat and then expecting the few with wooden bats to be able to keep up.

lmao. no, this has nothing to do with rank. op is correct that mobility is incredbly useful in almost every situation. in a machup between a champ with low mobility and high mobility, the outcome is usually dictated by the ability of the player with the mobile champ to make plays or mistakes rather than the one without mobility.

meaning between 2 really good players who make the most of their champions, the one with the mobile champion will be at an advantage.

the value of mobility has been known for a long time in this game. and youll usually find mobile champs to be the top picks in solo que and pro play in this game.

Riot Really needs to consider this, mobility became a MUST in league of legends. Before mobility used to be unique, It really needs a counter play mechanic other than exhaust, and B, C.
