How about a place to put where you're going in champion select?

That way, even that teammate of yours that pays 1% of attention during champion select can still tell what's going on. And each player doesn't have to enter anything in there, so it's not like it'd defeat the possibility of someone choosing Ryze and saying they can mid or top. Maybe even don't let people enter it in until after they've locked in their champion. To me, it'd seem like it'd be easier to tell what's going on to have where everyone's going over there, rather than them scattered throughout the chat at the bottom that you may have to scroll through to see where each person said where they're going.

They are already making ranked team builder so no need to worry (except no one is gona play it)

I don't really like team builder as much because more likely than not, I'm not dead-set on one role. I'd rather have something like this.

Ranked team builder is going to be about queueing up for specific roles, so it's kinda the same thing.

Plus, it guarantees that you are playing with four other people who wanted the specific role they signed up for.

I'm super excited for that!

Except it's not locked in any way, you just have a nice clear indicator.

That way people don't lock leblanc because they thought liss was going top because they were ~~mastur~~ alt-tabbed out.

Yeah, if you pick anything off-meta, people sometimes don't get it. All the same, I'd worry it would only encourage the "I CALLED IT FIRST" complaining that already happens even without it.

I hate how people trash on simple to implement ideas for no reason. If you somehow have not had a complete drooler in your team over all the games you have played then you are in the .01% of people that have.

i have been thinking about this for awhile too, it would help tell your team where you want to go, but people will still just auto lock, or say "i didnt see it"

thats also why they need a report option in lobby

Comparable to World of Warcraft's role selection as you queue up, right? I would like something like that where you select any number of roles (1-3 + fill), which will then throw together a loose team where all roles are covered. Afterwards placing everyone into the normal draft pick would clean some things up.
