PSA that Kassadin's still sitting at a 42% win rate
As a supposed anti-mage in the middle lane, when all mages go mid and proceeds to gets stomped by nearly all of them

I don't know why Rito gutted him like this? It's not like he went back into perma ban mode.
It's not like he became one of those champs everyone begs for nerfs for that pretty much populate the boards.
His winrate was already sub 50%.
"Lets nerf his ult range"
let's nerf his ulti range when we didn't wanted to nerf it and nerfed every other spells
Well he did take over mid lane for most of late season 3 and early season four, also took away a red side ban for nearly a year. So yeah, I can see why Riot wouldn't immediately buff him back into viability.
But out of curiosity what do you think they should actually buff about him that wont make him pick ban again?
increase bases and scaling slightly, give his ult an ap ratio even if it's low, it's damage is non existant. let his shield block all damage instead of just magic. let his own spells double proc his e charges, he cant trade for shit cuz it's extremely hard to stack in lane.
i feel like these buffs, if the numbers were right, would balance him.
nop he is supposed to be an anti mage
shield should be only magic damage with a higher value mr/lvl reduce the cooldown of his E to 2 seconds countering casters give him back 700 range ulti, increase the mana cost to a % of his maximum mana and return the cooldown to 7/6/5 give his ulti an AP ratio
You make his shield block all damage instead of magic and you create an absolute god in the top lane. So no.
that's true, i was just throwin ideas that came to mind
He did well some time ago is hardly an argument for keeping him down that long.
The Problem is that they scewed up his rework, and now he kinda has poppy status. They apparently don't know what to do with him, as buffing his numbers would just bring back S3, since his kit still is broken by design... Another problem is the idea f an antimage, as an antimage would be a hardcounter to mages, but the stated design-philosophy of riot is strictly against hardcounters(and i agree with that), so the basic concept of kassadin clashes with their design-philosophy.
Pretty much summed it up on the antimage/hard counter thing. Best way I can think of is giving kass a way to gain strength of some kind from enemy magic damage, but not negate their ability to hurt him. I wouldn't refer to this as a strict anti mage though. Theyre in a corner with him.
Riot doesn't know what they want Kassadin to be. Personally I think an anti-mage by definition would be an early-game champion who bullies traditional mages 1v1, and spends the majority of the game getting to them and making them unhappy. So far the only thing they've ever managed to successfully do with him is make him a teleporting kill-everything assassin.
Veigar is like the closest thing to an antimage in the game with his ultimate, and he himself is still a mage... who kills everything.
you must suck as kass then
i agree kassadin... kinda bad right now but prepare for those ppl that say you cant use him to come cause they are such experts...there not
Actually, I'm not an expert but I think that Kassadin isn't really that bad. He has defined strengths and weaknesses and I also think he needs a buff, but the community makes it out to be like he does no damage and is relatively useless. My only suggestions would be to increase the damage on his Q early game, and also give his ult some AP Scaling, nothing big but just so it gives his ult a big more early game reliability on damage and also help define his late game hypercarry potential.
I watch some youtubers to get better at league idk if u watch anklespankin.... kassadin has a hard time laning against ap nasus....that means nasus can stack q while bullying kassadin....which means kassadins early game is worse than the champion whose early game is known for being one of the worst.....idk how u can consider h viable if he gets outtraded by his spirit fire once u poke nasus all he has to do is e you when your sheild goes down idk if im getting my point across.. i guess it... why play him if i can uze someone who is easier to play (annie) fun to play with but has a crap early game (katarina) great mobility (riven, zed) they arent as mobile but then again they dnt use hella mana because his mana usage can get up their if your running from a mobile manaless champion with low cds and A TOXIC FUCKING AD SHEILD DASH SHIT but i can agree with your buffs because from all the kassidin videos i have noticed that he ALWAYS ALMOST DOES ENOUGH DAMAGE I SEE HIM TARGET SQUISHY CHAMPS AND GUESS WHAT THEY LIVE ON THE SMALLEST BITS OF HEALTH BEFORE HE HAS TO GET OUT BEFORE HE GETS BLOWN UP srry for caps i was lazy to turn em off
Sorry I stopped reading when you said Katarina has a poor early game.
I get what you're saying. Kassadin should be the bar for the ratio of weak/stupid. This means nerfing Nidalee by a lot, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice.
They nerfed him into a good spot then nerfed him again and again and then once more for good measure.
Good, let him languish in obscurity.
When he is good, he is poison.
Kassadin is still strong if he gets to lategame.
Now you only get to lategame on Kass if you're good, rather than just stomp all game like pre-nerf Kass.
I see no problems.
his late game is not even that good when you compare him to other assassins

He shouldn't be absolutely useless until 30 minutes into the game.
You know whoelse has similar win rates?
Le Blanc with 43% and Azir with 44%.
They could change his W to something like what Anti-Mage has in DotA 2. I wouldn't just copy paste the skill, but it could work something like Irelia's W and have it gain something when activated.
they don't want mana burn in the game, but he can do damage based on the maximum mana
As long as the pros keep dragging his carcass around, I don't think we're going to see much Kassadin changes (I could be completely wrong)
