Cho'Gath in the jungle?
Bad? Good? I was just thinking about how
jungle is strong because he can Consume+Smite, so by the same token wouldn't
be pretty good as a jungler because he can Feast+Smite?

Probably sleeper OP now.
The bonus hp from the new jungle item synergizes well with his ult stacks (they count as bonus hp). His consume on a 30s cooldown if executing a creep is insane. He has 1k true damage +
for securing dragons/barons. Oh and he can be built AP or tank or hybrid depending on what your team needs and how the game is going.
He still has weaknesses, but his kit is VERY strong in the jungle right now.
He has always been a decent jungle. Problem is his ganks are sub par and gets out dueled hard early.
So would you say he's better or worse than other Tanky junglers like

doesn't have
's AOE damage reduction or targeted snare, but he has better CC (if you land his Q) and is arguably tankier.
He doesn't have as much CC as
, and his is harder to land... But he's much safer in the early game and doesn't depend on a quickly-broken shield for extra autoattack damage (Vorpal Spikes). I want to say he's tankier than Nautilus, but that depends on the CD of Nauty's shield and whether Cho'Gath has anything to kill nearby to activate his passive.
Zac has more knockups, but they're on longer cooldowns. Zac uses health, so he won't run out of resources for spamming his abilities... But that means his early game is more risky because of the health loss. Cho'Gath has far better burst, for sure, because of his ultimate.
The main difference between those three and Cho'Gath is that Cho has a silence. Very helpful against ability-reliant champions, such as mid/short-range casters (your W might not help much against a
, unless you land your Q on him) and energy-based champions. Cho'Gath can ruin
and
if they attempt to dive/initiate when he's around.
Cho'Gath can't Feast until level 6, but he does bring a lot of objective control once he gets it. Chogy is tough enough to survive in the new jungle. His Q gives him a tiny amount of breathing room because of the knockup, all of his basic abilities are AOE (helpful for clear speed), and his passive gives him just enough sustain. His E makes it so that even if he's out of mana (blue stolen, for example), he can still do a decent job at clearing without his Q and W.
I won't say he's the best jungler in general (landing Q determines whether your ganks succeed or not, not the fastest clearer), but he's safe enough. Basically, he's a sort of generalist AP tank... He doesn't have the CC of a Nautilus gank or the damage of a Sejuani gank, but he becomes a good peeler, initiator (just land your Q), and damage absorber (big Cho eats skillshots and doesn't care) during teamfights.
I'll definitely try out the new Cinderhulk enchantment on him soon.
His sustain in the jungle is very good, he can full clear before backing :s..

His health sustain is decent, but to really maintain your clearing you'll probably need to build some sort of mana regeneration (

), or perhaps a
for more autos/E. That way, you can afford to give away your Blue Buff to whatever ally needs it the most.
I jungle Cho all the time. Feasting on monsters and smite is good. And ganking with Q is a really funny combo with the laner.
