The latest item changes are hitting Trynd the hardest than any other champ; Riot's focus

I thought the aim of the changes was at (nerfing) ranged ADCs, not Trynd?

(where are supports + support items nerfs btw?)

Meddler mentioned possible mere compensation buffs or compensation nerfs (lol?).

Like the last "buffs" he received?

> ATTACK DAMAGE GROWTH STAT 3.2 ⇒ 3.7; E ratio - 120% bonus attack damage ⇒ 130% bonus attack damage

???

The ER changes alone are enough to tip him over to the non-viable pit...

The attitude towards that champ and what we got from the few red posts on it tells me they're not putting enough thought/don't care to the extent they should do. I have seen exactly zero Reds, both here and on Reddit, discussing the removed ER crit/CDR synergy and the way it impacts Trynd.

Huge nerfs to Trynda and his build/builds:

  • no CDR, new ER is trash for Trynd. Black Cleaver is not that good, its build path also + it will be less efficient coupled with the new IE.
  • even further huge delays in his powerspikes (whle tanks are already outdamaging him for the majority of gametime)
  • Conqueror + new IE are not gonna work good enough together - it's not 40% true dmg with both. Other keystones are trash on him, with Grasp - being so-so and is useless past level 5.
  • bad build path for IE. Games are already over by 10-15 mins mark so a finished IE with double crit means nothing when the game has already ended and is close to useless ---> wasted stats/gold with the over 100% crit with passive + core Zeal items + IE.
  • delayed midgame powerspike (is that even a thing now?) if any at all.
  • the already rare jungle Trynd will be even more rare with the removal of Machete's attack speed.

With the current hypermobility/free CDR stats across tanks/supports + supports shielding important targets literally the moment the shield effect wears off, the ER as an item has allowed Trynda to stay somewhat relevant in the modern game by allowing us to land some hits + CDR.

Contrary to the major belief, currently Trynd is one of the hardest champions to play at high elo, while incredibly safe picks such as Sion, Gnar + sleeper op Kled/Akali are reigning in top lane by facerolling on the keyboard.

Suggestions:

  • solving the mobility nerf ----> base 8 sec CD on Trynd's spin; max level skill CD = 5/6 secs.

(a long overdue change, given the state of the meta/game)

  • solving the over 100% crit chance ---> outright differently working IE for melee hypercarries

(or specifically only for Trynd, cause Yasou doen't need att. speed that much); build path needs work too.

Most likely he won't be vaible in anything higher than Gold Elo if the changes go through without major alterations.

Why bother? You can't fix trash without scrapping it and starting over.

Trynd is a champ based on being unpredictable and hard to gauge when he can beat you in a fight. The only way I feel he can be unpredictable in late game is to have full cdr and go in with spins aggressively getting rewarded with up to 3 spins during your 5 second ult. I think they should give tenacity for melee champs when rageblade is active similar to steraks gage as well.
