Swapping heal and exhaust in bot lane?

With Runic Shield and especially Windspeaker's Blessing applying to summoner heal, I've been thinking it might be more efficient to have the support use heal and the marksman to use exhaust. Not sure if the numerical advantage outweighs the tactical one of supports usually getting closer, so maybe it's more situational. I tried it with a friend, but he admits he was having a hard time getting used to using exhaust instead of heal on an adc. But even then, we were doing alright. Thoughts?

One of my friends has been suggesting it a lot too, mainly because grevious wounds only applies to self heals now. I still personally like it better when I have control over it, but it's possible

For Windspeaker's users, it is definitely something to consider. Usually, those guys stay close to their ADC, too, so the heal should target the right champion.

Other supports...let's just say, not so much.

Thing is;

The support is more likely to be in range to safely use Ignite or Exhaust With that setup the ADC can no longer heal to run away from a shit situation if the support isn't with them

It could work well for laning but later on the adc having exhaust isn't as useful as the support having exhaust, and the movement speed burst from the heal is still better on the adc than the support the majority of time.

Yes, it is a good idea, for many reasons (which have been pretty much all mentioned already, so no need to repeat).

I fear though that RIOT could move Dragon and every buff topside and make Heal only heal other champions, and we'd still see ADCs with Heal in a duo bot 90% of the times, at least until the next LCS.

People hate change, tend to act sheepishly, and this meta is rooted too deeply already.

Wait, are you telling me that there's the possibility of versatility and decision making instead of taking the same summoners every game?

Mind blown.

Jokes aside, yeah I can see that working. Unless you're playing Nami or Soraka, in which case the ADC should take heal (because then you can have the support's back, while they have yours).
