Darius' passive is like Twitch's passive on steroids

Darius Hemorrhage Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed for 9 (+1 per champion level) (+0.3 per bonus attack damage) physical damage over 5 seconds. This effect stacks up to five times.

Reaching 5 stacks or killing an enemy champion with Noxian Guillotine activates Noxian Might for 5 seconds. During Noxian Might, Darius gains 40-200 bonus Attack Damage and applies max Hemorrhage stacks to enemies with basic attacks or Decimate's Blade.

Twitch Deadly Venom Twitch's basic attacks infect the target, dealing 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 true damage every second for 6 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. The amount is increased every 4 levels.

The damage discrepancy is just ridiculous without even considering the portion where Darius gains bonus damage for landing all 5 stacks. Twitch's passive is inferior in every way. Passives lately have become skills all unto themselves, while skills like Q's and E's get passives that are more in line with the passives of the past. A lot of the older champions are getting left in the dust for precisely this reason, and I hope someone at Riot recognizes this and believes something should be done about it, whether it be buffing old champions up to current standards or not overloading passives quite so much.

Comparing champion abilities like that without considering any other aspects of that champion or their kits generates no useful data.

The only thing Twitch has over Darius is range. They both have: aoe damage, true damage, burst damage, damage dealing passives. While Darius also gets tankiness, more passives, and an aoe heal. Twitch gets invisibility and range, one of which can be countered by a 100g item. I think Twitch loses in all aspects between the two. But as I've stated before this is all moot, as this post was just to point out the discrepancy between the passives of new and old.

Theres also the part where Twitch does true damage and is a ranged champion.

Twitch's true damage passive still doesn't deal much damage (50 damage at lvl 1, 186 at lvl 18) And Darius' ultimate gains more true damage with each stack of hemorrhage on the target. Soooo... that point's kinda moot, isn't it? As for the range, it doesn't really matter at all, because that isn't the point of this discussion. This discussion is about the discrepancy between the passives of the champions of old, and the overloaded, much more relevant and in depth passives of the newer champions. I only used Darius and Twitch as examples because their passives were directly correlated as basic attacks that give added damage over time. Think about mages of old, too. Most of them still have passives that just give them mana back over time. Think Veigar Swain Lissandra . While newer mages like Azir Viktor have crazy multi-layer passives that give them so much more to their kits than the old ones. I find it very unfair to people playing older champions to have to contend with things like this.

but twitch can apply his stacks from range and they can be used to chunk the target so what are you getting at? darius passive isn't what is op about him

Yeah, and Darius' ult doesnt get stronger with the more stacks of hemorrhage he has on the target? Oh wait. And the fact he's melee doesnt excuse the fact that his passive has so much more functionality than twitch's does. What about Kalista, Ashe, Tristana.... every ADC has a passive with more utility and functionality than twitch's. This post isn't some rant about Darius being OP. No, this post is clamoring for something to be done about the discrepancy between the passives of champions in general. Why is it that some passives are so similar but some have better raw numbers than others? Why are some just more in-depth than others? Why can some feel so useless and out of place in a champion's kit (Talon here's looking at you) while others get to be the one mechanic that champion can't do without? Why can some champions have multiple passives WITHIN their main passive (Azir, when he doesn't really even need his turret passive). Ultimately its just kind of unfair to certain champions.
