Yorick was reworked for having an "anti-fun" kit

Teemo has fit this damn catagory for years. Teemo is a meme at this point yes. but you dont smile when you see one on the enemy team. you dont just sit there and look at it as every other champ. no. every time there is a teemo on the enemy team you groan because its one of the most annoying things to play against in the game.

He has an Anti-Fun Kit and if you talk to anyone long enough they will agree that its cancer. Just like old yorick its not OP. otherwise it would be played in every match, but it doesnt have to be OP to make you want to hang yourself every time you see one on the enemy team. Near Yorick's rework they actually REMOVED him from a free rotation because they felt he had a negative impact on the enjoyment of the games that he was in. Teemo time and time again shows that he completely fits the anti-fun catagory due to the insane simplicity of the kit and the lack of a way to play against it.

The problem with Simplistic kits like Teemo and Old Yorick is that they arent strong. They are just so damn passive kits that while they arent the strongest things in the game. there isnt really a counterplay to them. Lets take a look at Ahri who is considered top tier atm. She is strong. very strong. But if you are a semi mobile champ you can play around her abilities by dodging them. Compare this to Old Yorick and teemo. You cant play around them. While they dont have the power of the Ahri kit. They have a lack of counterplay to them.

TLDR: Teemo is cancer. Needs a rework that makes him stronger, but adds counterplay to him.

No, yorick was reworked because his only niche was his insanely stupid laneing phase.

Yorick's kit was reworked because it was impossible to balance without him literally destroying everyone with little to no effort. Teemo on the other hand is mainly annoying in the laning phase while falling off tremendously afterwards since he is insanely bad in teamfights and not that great of a splitpusher.

i think you are severely mistaking why champion kits are reworked. Not every single champion needs to have a million skillshots and be all about flashy plays. Champions can have simple kits and champions with said simple kits are needed to make the game more balanced in the long run. Look at how often a champion with a simple kit has been an issue vs champions with crazy mechanics attached to them?

no, he is not. He has no way of escaping anyone who tries to kill him and his 1v1 potential just goes downhill the longer the game goes. Unless he gets stupidly ahead there is very little a teemo can do against most champions the longer the game goes. There are way better splitpushers that do way more and have a much easier time dealing with whoever they face while teemo is reliant on that one specific champion being auto reliant and to be able to deal more than enough damage before his blind wears off

He has a great escape, and teemo isnt about raw power, hes about mind games, a good teemo can terrify the enemy team into coming top with 3 plus members and wasting a good 2-3 minutes of their time (or just not sending anyone and getting free toiwers) and when they send those 3 members the enemy team has no way to defend their other lanes due to 4v2

a great escape... you mean the miserable MS boost? a "good teemo" sorry but despite what you hear people memeing about him he barely does that at all. You can keep pretending all you want that teemo is useful but he is not. He is annoying early and terrible afterwards

his w isnt an escape...its for kiting, his passive is what im reffering to, when you see them coming to gank you, you run somewhere and go invis, they either waste 2-3 minutes trying to find you, or they go defend the rest of their base (if they go back to defend you just push it again)

I can see what you're saying, but Teemo's kit isn't at the point were he needs a rework. He's strong in some aspects, but he does have some pretty big weaknesses. While he could stand to gain some counterplay, I wouldn't say it's a pressing concern.

Meh, always thought of Teemo as more of a meme than anything else. He's a ranged with a blind, but there are other ranged champions that are waaaayyyyyy harder to deal with than him JayceQuinn

Teemo's sole purpose is trying to zone the enemy team from the topside of the map. Or at the very least slow them down and make them lose precious time while the rest of his team secure objectives. He's a splitpusher, but instead of being a strong duelist and force the enemy to 2v1 him, he plays mindgames and make you waste your time as he hides, maybe kill a squishy if they step on a shroom.

But if he does ONE mistake he's getting shat on by almost anyone.

Christ his ultimate is useless with oracles. His q shouldn't be a skill shot. Are we actually complaining about teemo? Who cares if he's annoying, useless after he bullies you for the first few minutes of the game.

Yorick was only reworked sooner due to the fact that his kit was so bad that he had a super low pick rate. He was a RARE champion to be seen in any match, cause no one knew how to play him or wanted to play him except a very small amount of people. Teemo on the other hand is played by a decent amount of people in all queues and elos, so he doesn't actually warrant a rework to be pushed upon him sooner.

Wow, a Teemo shitpost. Never thought I'd see the day. Honestly the only time I groan facing a Teemo(as Riven usually) is when he goes full AP and ignores nashors. It hurts so bad I can't win by building normally, you have to rush hexdrinker against him pretty much when he does that, but Teemo has so much versatility you can't really know for sure if he is going full AP or not since both liandrys and nashors start off with an amp tome. But honestly he's not hard to kill, the only annoying thing is his mushrooms are extremely powerful if built full AP. But they've buffed counterplay against his shrooms already by increasing melee attack range on them when revealing them. Get an oracles alteration and Teemo is pretty much nothing. Just don't try to kill him until you get proper defenses. A lot of champions can make it to where you're forced into a lane where you're not gonna be able to go for the kill and are forced to play passively, not just Teemo.

Lol. Yeah, I said alteration, the little red sweeping lens that follows you all around the map for like 10 seconds, reveals enemy traps and whatnot.

The thing you do when splitpushing as Teemo is to make it where no one can get to you in the first place. Shroom all the entrances to the lane, shroom behind you, then proceed in taking the tower. They should hit at least a few shrooms before they get to you, revealing them so you can get the heck out of dodge(or just invis somewhere nearby if they don't have oracle alteration and go back to hitting the tower after they leave). It can work wonders.

Yorick was so terrible for the game that they took him off the free week rotation entirely Teemo is not nearly as bad
